What do you lose if you stay with the 5" display & uconnect 3

Every time I price out the Sport S, I end up bumping to the 7" because it affects climate control stuff. I'm not sure if this is accurate.

Has anyone confirmed (probably by way of having a JL Rubicon Sport S w/ base stereo) what you lose, or what you'd gain by going w/ the 7" display?

Yah that makes the 5" kind of a non-starter. Of course, as soon as I add the $1k for the 7" on a Sport S... it just levels out the difference in getting a Rubicon.

Yeah, but that’s the road to madness - you get the Rubi, then you want the front view cam and off-road pages, which requires the 8.3”. Then you’re close enough to the premium alpine system which gets you the 8.3, better speakers, and a better front windshield. Now your Rubi is back way above the sport s.

Ask me how I know about this vicious cycle....

Maybe that’s only on the JL? It was an ‘acoustic’ glass upgrade...
