The local Land Rover Dealer isn’t helping my patience as I wait for my Gladiator. I have to pass this Defender Pick-up everyday! The good news is it’s way out of my budget. It makes a Rubicon seem like a bargain.

Ya, it appears to be an older 130 model with less-than-tasteful custom bits.
Maybe 1.5" suspension uptravel?

It is legal to import 25+ year old defenders into the USA if they have original frame and drivetrain. It’s a cottage industry of folks buying them in the UK and Europe for shipment to the USA. Some folks like East Coast Defenders will redo one from top to bottom for a heafty sum. Others will import into USA for you to buy and fix up as you see fit. A 90, can be had on a deal like that for around 12k to 15k. The 110 and 130s are little more. But expect to work on it. A lot of importers will throw a new engine or frame into the container for you to swap once you get it titled here. You can search for defenders for sale in Europe and UK on autoscout24 and ooyo. There are Land Rover forums dedicated to this. They cover shipping agents, what’s legal, builds, and technical help for swaps and repairs. Most of the folks are our generation so you’re spared the smart assed remarks when you have a question.
