I read somewhere that they specifically made the under storage box to fit an Ak long rifle shotgun ect. I'm sure some won't fit but I know most will
I don't doubt you read that, but I doubt the design team had that in mind.

I do own a semi auto wasr 10 however.

My shotgun is special when it comes to finding a case for it. I shoot a VersaMax Waterfowl Pro with a 28 inch barrel and even cases specifically designed for waterfowl hunting are a tad bit too small. I really do hope it is enough room for me to fit my and my son's shotguns in there when we are headed to the slough. Since the seat locks in place and you can lock the doors it would be possible to at least stop and grab a burger while traveling. When we took the soft top JK hunting someone had to stay with the Jeep at all times because if there were 4 of us hunting that was a whole lot of money invested in shotguns.

Here is a picture of my long nosed beauty.

Maybe they'll make a bed mounted howitzer case for guys with long guns?

I hope it fits in there. Like I said the 28 inch barrel and extended choke it is a very long shotgun. She sure swings nice though. I shot a Benelli and couldn’t hit the water so I stayed with the VersaMax

If you want to keep it with attachments you'll probably want an aftermarket lockbox. I would also like a lockable box for the center console, something that sits on the bottom with its own compartment within the compartment. From what I see it's deep and doable.

My current plan is to go with the Decked system. Guns and clothes in the dry locked decked and decoys and other gear on top. Not sure if decked is deep enough for all of the gear though.

Im pretty sure when watching one of the many Youtube vids on I think it was SEMA, the Jeep rep said it was designed to fit "Hunting/Fishing" gear that needed a lockable box. Looks like I can easily drop the AR pistol in there along with room for mags ammo and other shooting accessories. :like:

I like that idea
Me too, but not being a hunter I'd use for my equally expensive fly fishing gear. They will, it's gonna come . . . I'd like to see Mopar get in on this too, perhaps even offer it as an option during the build process. The current Plastic with the not-so-secure lock it more silly than useful, IMO of course.

absolutely and notice the removable dividers are notched, indicating a template to "cut here" for towing a long gun....or "hunting equipment"

Shouldn't be a need to Cut anything - all the dividers are removable ! (?) .

Yes they are removable, referring to the template outlined in yellow. If u cut there, then you have a gun rack.

If I still had my 20 gauge, I'd rather just keep it in it's own soft case and store here WITHOUT doing the cutting, once you cut you can't go back . . . ?

That would be my plan too if it fits at all. Why would I pull it from it’s case to drive around and then have to put it back in the case to throw in in the boat or take it in the house.

Jeeps box in a box concept that they seem hung up on is extraordinarily space inefficient.

I did not order the storage management package for just this reason. The box doesn't add enough security to talk about and reduces storage area by about 30%, the "Decked" thing regardless how cool just reduces the bed to basically 60% of its original capacity. That said, if it works for you, get it on.

Hand gun up front to keep the goblins off of me long enough to retrieve the long gun cased under the back seat, then ....boogaloo
