I also noticed that with the Tread Lightly membership, you get a discount on General tires!
Where do you have to buy them through?
I don't think it matters -
The membership voucher says $100 rebate from Discount Tire and $100 from General Tire.
It says you get a mail in rebate for $100 for General Grabber X,A/T and $70 for General HTS and $50 for General Altimax. So, no matter where you buy you can mail it in. I wonder if you can combine Discount Tire with it and get $200 off
Ahhh, you guys caught that!
So, ya, now that I sobered up, I'm back to 35s most likely.
The Tread Lightly is two-fold:
$100 visa card from General for buying 4 of the ATX, ($50 for some others)
$100 visa gift card from Discount tire.
No reason you can't combine as they're from separate vendors.

Not sure if this helps you decide
But tonight I stopped at dealership in KC and found this

Red overland with 37” general grabbers on stock rims and Mopar lift

I think the 37’s are perfect under this truck

Those look sweet, but i'm confused.
  1. How do these much wider tires fit on the stock rim?
  2. Why are so many aftermarket wheels wider than the stock mopar wheels?

I have fit 315/70/17 tires on stock wheels. I think that comes out to 35/12.5/17

I'm curious if 37/13.5/17 will fit on a stock wheel.

TireRack says a 37x13.5r17 will fit 8.5-11" rims. I THINK the OEM is a 8 or 8.5.

Actually 7.5 - I have seen 35's on stock rims and they are tight. I would not try 13.5 wide
Ya, so a 7.5 wouldn't work
Let me clarify a bit, they WILL mount up, but you won't like it.
I did this once on the back of a Mercedes C series. it was so loose cause the wheel would flex the sidewalls laterally, constantly felt like you were down to 5 psi in the tire.

I have nothing helpful to contribute, you sound like a kid in a candy store and a bunch of birthday money (or myself over the last 10 years building my unreasonably large XJ's) hahaha, but nonetheless I just wanted to say thanks, because this thread was a rather comical read. Haha. Good luck with your build!

THERE IS A WINNER!
upload_2019-5-21_19-20-44.png

WAS IT BY POPULAR VOTE you ask?
NOPE, I don't get the 72 hour padded cell.

WAS IT THE NUMBER 2?
NOPE

OK, IT WAS NUMBER 3 THEN?
NOPE, there wasn't a number 3, they tied.

AND THE WINNER WITH ZERO VOTES IS:
37x12.5r17 General Grabber ATX
Ordered today!

sounds like collusion to me...
