Hey @Wiggy love to have a report on your Sunrider. How does it sound when going highway speeds(both opened and closed)? Any leaks when it rains? And please report back once you’ve had to take it through a car wash.

It’s a nice looking top you got now. Congrats.

Got the winch installed, first mod complete! Only other mod planned is to install the brake controller I also pulled out of my JL.

I looked at the ones jeep sells and the cheap ones on Amazon ( that are thin and have crappy adhesion). Ultimately went with the ones from Quadratec (their brand) because it not only covers the flat part but also the vertical ridge that is always getting beat up on my current jeep

Good call. I bought the cheapies from Amazon before. They don't fit well and the ds tape is not very sticky.

Last week my Jeep dealer gave me a 2019 Ram 1500 loaner whilst our EcoDiesel was getting its flash done. Funny thing, the electric steering seemed to fight the wheel when driving in a straight line. Kinda chunky feeling every once in a while.

My JLR steering is fine though. Run the tires at 36 psi and no wandering.
My JT Rubicon steering seemed very loose and it wandered. The dealer had the tire pressure at 41psi. I lowered the's air pressure down to the 37psi that the door frame sticker calls for and it seems to be night/day better. I have only driven about 10 miles since dropping the pressure but it was already a very noticeable improvement. Much quieter as well.

I may try to drop another pound or so and see if its better yet.
Dropped the tire pressure to 35psi on my Rubi (which is nominal for the range on the MTs). Much better feel at 65mph +. Make sure to set the pressure when the tires are cold.
First mod, air down to 35psi, LMFAO!

Already broke the seal and I’m still in D status but figure it’ll be fun to have some boxes to play with until it arrives! Yesterday I ordered the following from Quadratec:
  • K&N AirCharger Performance Intake
  • Mopar Grille & Winch Guard - plan to do either a light bar or (2) 5” lights mounted on top!
  • Mopar Winch Guard Light Mounting Bracket

As soon as ol’Gladys hits the dealer it will get those lovely all black LE wheels wrapped in some BFG KO2 315/70R17’s..........NO Lift. Hoping it will be a perfect combo. Also a 67 Design phone mount. I’ll post pictures. Hopefully I take delivery tomorrow, fingers and toes crossed. Later will be adding a Warn VR12S winch.
