That looks great! Could you measure the height of your Jeep at the highest point of the cab?Picking up my Rubicon tomorrow. Here’s what it looks like with a Alloy USA 1.5” leveling kit / 35’s (35x12.5x17)
Just under 76 inches. That looks great! Could you measure the height of your Jeep at the highest point of the cab?
Looks awesome. How are those shock extensions? Quality or iffy? Wanting to buy same kit so any info u can provide would be greatly appreciated.Picking up my Rubicon tomorrow. Here’s what it looks like with a Alloy USA 1.5” leveling kit / 35’s (35x12.5x17)
I just installed the kit on mine tonight. No complaints or concerns. Directions would have been nice but not necessary. Don't reinstall the rubber isolators on the front, the poly spacers in the alloy kit are not designed to be used in conjunction with themLooks awesome. How are those shock extensions? That was my biggest concern before getting the kit. The extensions should do a good job and I don’t have any hesitation using them on just a 1.5” level. I’d be “shocked” if they ever failed (sorry had to do it).Looks awesome. How are those shock extensions? Quality or iffy? Lol. Can’t pass up a chance to be funny that easy. I appreciate the info. Gonna order today. Happy JeepinThat was my biggest concern before getting the kit. Thanks for the input. Seems there is confidence in the kit. Gonna give it a whirl.I just installed the kit on mine tonight. No complaints or concerns. I have a 2021 Rubicon Gladiator and I thought 35" at first before I got the truck but after seeing it what's the point really since it's only 2" higher than the stock 33s. I was even considering 40" but I'd have to redo everything underneath and regear which I'm not sure I want to do. I was told mine came with a 1.5" lift kit, not sure if that was stock or an option?I'll be watching this thread. I have a Rubicon on order and should have my Alloy USA leveling kit delivered today. I'm undecided on tire size, though I'm heavily leaning towards 35's.
The options are endless, and only you know what you want to do. 40’s will indeed require a significant investment in suspension and drivetrain modifications. 35s and 37s are fairly easy on a Rubicon.I have a 2021 Rubicon Gladiator and I thought 35" at first before I got the truck but after seeing it what's the point really since it's only 2" higher than the stock 33s. Thanks for the Response, I'm putting out feelers on what others have done and the issues they found, this way I will have a more informed decision on which way I'd want to go with this build, I'm new to jeep and modifications, I'm not a gearhead or mechanic. Did people need to lift it past the 1.5" lift that's already on the 2021 Rubicon Gladiator? If they didn't lift it at all did it rub? In what circumstances? If it rubs while turning with everyday driving that's not good. Did they need to regear it for 37" tires? I've heard that without regearing they may not get a 7th or 8th gear on the highway? What did they need to do to the stock Rubicon Gladiator to get 37"s to work? This might be the determining factor between 35, 37 or 40s. If I need to regear replace lots of parts for the 37"s to work I might as well go with 40s. I like the look of the 40's but not going to spend an additional $20K just on suspension, Axles and gearing. I'm reading that a 3.5" lift is kind of normal for 37" tires? but what is the minimum lift required for 37" tires to work, not rub, ready to rock crawl and be as functional as the 33" stock tires. I don't do allot of heavy duty off road stuff, but will occasionally go into the mountains and 4x4 to get photos of wildlife. Based on your comment I assume that's not the case with the 37" tires, I do know that I will have to recalibrate my tires for the speedometer to work. I may invest in the Tazer JL Mini. There's Tons of conflicting or inaccurate information out there for someone new to Jeep and Jeep Modifications. The options are endless, and only you know what you want to do. 40’s will indeed require a significant investment in suspension and drivetrain modifications. 35s and 37s are fairly easy on a Rubicon.
That’s a lot of questions, and all your answers are somewhere on this site.
