The brochure says the automatic trans. comes with Selec-Speed control for offroad use where you can set it to maintain 0.6 MPH or 1.2 MPH without using the throttle or brakes. How does this work? Anybody used it?

Standard with the automatic transmission is Selec-Speed Control, which is like cruise control for off-road driving. It can be engaged when the transfer case is in low range. Uphill or down, it enables the vehicle to manage its own speed, which can be set anywhere between 1 and 5 miles an hour. You use the "M" setting on the auto's gear shift to set the speed.

So you set it the same way you do normal cruise control while on the highway? And then use the AutoStick to manipulate speed?

Nope... put it in 4 low... move from auto to manual mode... move up or down depending on your speed. Just think of it like gears if your many along shifting

No. Once in 4L you press the button and it defaults to the lowest speed. You then kick the stick to the left into M mode and bump up the speed. So you don't need to use the cruise control buttons.

OK I tried it out earlier tonight and it's awesome! I didn't even know it was there. Very cool.

Is there anyway to bypass the 4Lo part? It would be nice if you could run it in 2WD or 4Hi. I encounter trails that aren't overly rough but long downhill descents. Just curious
