I’ve not experienced any issues with the Gladiator heat from under the seat or drivetrain panel next to pedals, but installed this material to better insulate temperature and mainly help reduce road noise. Maybe if you are having these heat problems it will help, if coming from the floor panels. If from the air vent, well that is a different issue.

Anyway, I cut and taped this insulation material between the carpet and floor panels. Did all the floor panels for less than $20 included the tape, also had material left over. It’s thin enough not to effect the look of the carpet when reinstalled. Just cut around the prongs where your carpet snaps back in and tape those areas and all seams to keep the heat barrier contained.

Reflectix Roll Insulation:

Foil Tape:

I used this on my Challenger in 2013 and JK in 2016 and appears to help with sound deadening and temperature control. I hope it helps some of you with these potential heat problems. If anyone needs a picture of the final product installed in the Gladiator just let me know and I will pull the carpet up and snap a couple pictures.

I’d like to see pictures if you don’t mind.

I use the reflectix in my motorhome to shield the heat from the windshield and some side windows and it work great. I looked at the factor package in my JL and wasn't impressed. I don't mind spending $$ on lots of stuff. But, instead of purchasing the roof insulation package I decided to make the insulation panel out of the reflectix material. I painted it white and used velcro just like the manufacture to attach. I finished the front sections which blends really well with the white roof. No issues while driving with the window down, now on to installing the larger piece from behind the seats to the back window.

I was wondering if anyone has had an issue with the area around your feet getting really hot all of sudden.. It has happened to me three times after I have driven for about 40 to 50 miles. It will feel like all of a sudden a vent or something has opened up and it will get hot around your feet/legs for a few seconds to about a minute, then it will go back to feeling normal. The air coming from the vents will still be cold. The AC will be set about 66* to 68* and it will be set to blow out the dash vents with the re-circulation button on. I had it in to the dealership and they drove it for awhile and they cannot tell me what the problem is because it would not do that for them. I have had other Jeeps(4) and did not have this problem with any of them.
I am having the exact same problem. You could not have described it any different besides the heat is coming from under the glove box on the passenger side in my situation. Did you ever get it fixed?

Hi Lorraine,

We’re sorry to hear that you are experiencing this concern with your Gladiator. We suggest having your dealer inspect this concern if you have not done so already. We are also available via private message if you would like any additional assistance during that process.

I'm having the same issue on my Gladiator and I had the same issue on my 2018 JL. My dealer drove the JL and experienced the warm air entering the compartment. His answer was it to keep carbon dioxide from building up in the compartment. If this is true why doesn't it come thru the AC unit and be cooled. This is very annoying and can last from a few seconds up to a minute.

Mine is doing it too. Apparently there is a TSB for JLs but not yet for JTs. Jeep Cares, can you look into this? @JeepCares

Interesting - there is a TSB for the JL: 24-006-19

I'm definitely experiencing this on the JT as well. @JeepCares here is another tag about this. Hopefully you guys can escalate and get this looked at in the gladiator.

EDIT: I'm very glad this has been confirmed as being a real issue.

Went on a 6hour road trip (6hours each way ) and didn’t notice this ... no passenger complaints either ‍♂
