Have you seen an rld in person?
No, only the Alu-Cab’s.
I may have to find one and see how it compares before I order one.
One feature I do like is the ability to get it painted but that’s more coin...

So I just went on the RLD website and there doesn’t appear to be any dealers East of the Mississippi.
Shipping to me is an additional $350....

I did not order a roof rack. While cheaper A.R.E. caps were available for the Canyon/Colorado sooner, I waited for Snugtop to come out with theirs. It took about 2 years after the Gen 2 Canyon/Colorado was introduced. I would expect a similar time frame if they ever make one for the Gladiator.

A car that clean is a spot the fresh. Beautiful!

I like the adventure model, can mount stuff on the back.
"On request, the flaps are also available in durable aluminum checker plate."

can somebody provide me the link to the $150 tonneau cover that was designed for another truck that others have used on the JT? I can't seem to find the thread where this was discussed.

I found this thing, but its $190, not $150.

Ooooh, I was wrong, only $1980, looks sweet, like the lights, but where are the storage bins, fuel can mounts, ect.?

Looks like it's missing some functionality

why can't anybody make a rack that follows the angle of the cab in relation to the bed? BOOH! Is this a a dynamic load thing @BuiltRight ? ( i know its not your design, but you're a smart nice guy)
One of the big reasons is because then everything you mount to it sticks off the side of the truck that much further. We have to keep looks, functionality, and loads in mind when designing these things. Would it look better (with nothing installed on it) matching the lines of the hardtop (or softop?) Sure, but then it wouldn't be as functional for what we designed it for.

We use our racks here at the shop for a wide variety of things from crawling, to hauling, to overlanding; and this design has worked awesome for us for the past few years.

I'm sure many other designs in this space will approach it from a different perspective, then you will have tons of options that suit your needs better. We would argue that if you want a mounting solution that matches the lines of the truck an overland or commercial style topper makes way more sense. And it keeps your gear dry. But of course, that can get expensive fast.

Trigger warning, non-Jeep photos below but we haven't owned our Gladiator long enough for many new adventures ;)
