Well, my Gladiator is in the shop once again (2nd time in 2 months of ownership). Started as the auto stop warning with check engine light and now another check engine light, only this time it started running rough for a second then cleared up. Dealer is still trying to find the cause. Anyone else having issues? 4 plus days in shop last time and day 3 so far and counting. Nothing like spending almost 60k for a truck that spends all it's time in the shop.....guess I gotta get used to the loaner POS they give me to drive..but hey, It's a Jeep Thing! Right?

Hi Aaronf40,
I know that we have previously reached out to you. However, we would like to remind you that we would be happy to have this documented as well as connect you with a case specialist to work with you and your dealer. We do regret to hear about your experience and understand why this has been frustrating. If this would be something you are interested in, please send our team a private message!

It's Saturday and another weekend without my Gladiator... I have been a loyal customer of Dodge for over 25 years..... Gladiator is the most expensive truck I have owned.....To bad it lives in the shop instead of out wheeling where it belongs...the wait continues, and I am starting to wish I was a loyal Ford customer...

Ask the Dealership General Manager to set up a meeting with you and the FCA District Rep.

A Multi Cylinder misfire is impossible in a new 3.6 unless there is a bad ECU or cylinder head issues.

This sounds like one they will want to buy back and tear down for an engineering review.

If you just deal with the service department you will spend your time in frustration!

Started seeing issues around 200 miles. Now has 1600 and has been to dealer 3 times for a total of like 14 days without the truck. Got it back today, they said they didn't fix anything though they spent 8 days trying to find the issue. The tech figures I will be back (obviously as they didn't fix anything) and is suggesting the Lemon Law conversation. I am hoping that JeepCares will help, but thing not looking good...did I mention I added like 4k of Mopar accessories to this truck!! Think I'm about to be very sad and spending more time and money with Lawyers then enjoying my "fun" jeep

Is your dealer actually working with FCA on trying to figure your problem out? I would say you are probably no where near getting it lemon law exchanged if FCA has actually been involved to any degree. If past experience has shown, FCA would be going so far as to put a long block replacement engine in rather than eat a lemon law return for a cylinder misfire issue.

I seriously doubt your dealer has had a tech on your JT for 8 hours a day for 8 days running. My guess is your JT has sat in the corner for 80% of the time with the occasional scanner code monkey thrown on it making stabbing guesses or just shrugging and giving it back to you. Might want to find another service dealer.

Ford makes turds also. So the grass is not always greener.

@Hootbro I have no idea if they have actually been working with FCA or not.

Please note I am a loyal Chrysler customer and have owned several over the years. I am sure that all manufacturers have vehicles that have issues. Does suck though when it happens to you...Paying close to 60k on a truck and spending your time driving a crappy loaner wile making payments on said expensive truck, does sour a person's posts. I hope they make this right, will keep posting my experience as it goes along.

You are entitled to your angst. The reality is that the warranty repair process and what dealers are paid for it from FCA corporate, does not incentivize the dealership to spend a lot of time troubleshooting that FCA will not pay them for above an initial time rate. Problems that are intermittent or complex and not glaring failures, unfortunately start a back and forth between the dealership and FCA with the dealership doing just a little and then throwing their hands up and then asking for approval from FCA of what to do next. You are stuck in the middle of their Kabuki Dance and from what I see, there is more to be done before it gets resolved by either an actual fix or lemon law.

I wish you the best.
