Well, I got 180 miles on the JT I purchased yesterday when the check engine light came on. Guess I’ll try and find an open parts store to get a code reader.
It’s such bullshit… Mine finally went off after four days !! Smh wow that’s really sad that after 180 miles it happened to you… Check your gas cap with the engine on undo it and then redo it all with the engine on and then I think I also heard do it with the engine off which is absurd like we should not have to be doing this

Thanks, no luck. That worked well on my JK. Headed to harbor freight to pull code. Then the dealer can figure it out. The rubber gasket on the gas cap wasn’t completely straight. May have been it. In the jk, it would usually take 2 days to reset after I fixed the cap.

Code is p0330. Knock sensor. I’m guessing either a faulty wiring harness or just a bad sensor. I guess this truck will go back to the dealer Tuesday. Absolutely unacceptable. Poor QA/QC.

3700 miles here. When I was leaving work, I noticed my Gladiator's power steering was out. I stopped, turned it off and turned it back on again and it was fine--no CEL or anything. I get home, then we get ready to go to dinner and again, my power steering was out but this time I got a CEL and a message about Traction Control. Looks like I'll be making a trip to the dealer tomorrow morning!!! Sucks!!!!

So I took it to a dealer on Tuesday. Spoke to a mechanic that afternoon. He told me the oil pressure sensor was installed incorrectly by the manufacturer. Wife was able to pick it up today after a short wait for the part. Wife told me it runs much better. It shouldn’t have happened. QA/QC should have caught it. I am satisfied with the way it was handled (mostly) the only issue I had was availability of a courtesy vehicle or rental for the day. I guess they wanted me to find my own rental and then request re-imbursement. After reading my Jeep wave contract, that’s not actually how that works. I left town for business before either I, Jeep care, or the dealer figured it out. My bad. I’ll be more aggressive about my requirements now that i know more about my warranty program than the dealer...hope the issue is solved and I’m not back to the dealer for awhile.

I have now had my Gladiator just over 1 week and today the check engine light came on. Called the dealership and they stated it would be 4-5 business days just for them to look at it. They also said that Jeep currently does not have any computer updates and if the engine was running fine I should keep driving it and bring it into the dealership in a couple of months after they get the new updates.

Has anyone else had their check engine light come on already?

What are your thoughts on the what the dealer told me?
My check engine light came on at 2700 miles. Took it to Auto Zone to get it read and it came back with code P0461. Just dropped it off at the dealer and they say I need the fuel pump module replaced. It’s covered so thats no problem, but it is on back order so might be a while to get fixed.

Hi b02169,
We'd be happy to connect you with a Specialist to see if there is anything that can be done to get the part to your dealer in a more timely fashion. Please feel free to send us a PM.

Hey all!
I have created a survey thread here
https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/survey-for-those-with-misfire-issues.24853/
If you are having CEL with misfire codes post here so we can keep these all in one place and try to figure out a solution since Jeep & the dealership can't do it for us. I have information from engineers on the JT platform that more Jeeps than what is normal are coming off the line with this issue.
Mine had a misfire code at final inspection that obviously was not properly addressed and I know for a fact that 10 others on my build date had the same issue.
Hopefully we can get a solution as the dealer wants to tear down my engine next and I really dont want that to happen until all other option are exhausted. I really dont think it's an internal engine problem.

The check engine light got me at 450 miles. I suspected the gas cap and the jeep dealer read my code and set me an appointment for next week. the code was an evac leak. So I guess we will see. It is a cheap ass gas cap! I might be upgrading this soon.
