In 1989 I turned 17 and had saved up enough money to buy a used Jeep Scramble... The day I went in to the used car lot they had already sold the Jeep to the Fire Department (to be modified for brush fires in the water shed)... Today at 47 I finally was able to get the descendant of the Scrambler ...

About 6 years ago I seen that same Jeep being used to put out a brush fire......

If that thing is still in service take a pic with your JT next to it. If not find it and buy it.

Absolutely... It was originally at
United Steam Fire Engine Company #3

last seen it was in Adamstown MD.. Should not be too hard to find ..

Edit :Update I just found it.... Its still in Adamstown and in still in service
it's a 1969 Jeep Kaiser (I thought it was a Scrambler, or my memory faded over 30 years)

Has anyone removed all the exterior red?
I'm gonna debadge everything I think. Really not a red fan.
Is the Jeep on the back able to seperate the Red from the black?

I officially belong in this thread! Picked it up earlier today and already broke her in by taking a run to the local hardware store to return 15 gallons of paint. Let the build begin!

Up first, though, I need to rearrange some things in the garage. This thing is a bit longer than my WK and barely fits.

We debadged everything except the tailgate. I believe the "Jeep" on the tailgate is 2 layers that are riveted together. Im sure you could separate them. (Others on here have plastidipped the red part to the color of their choice). For now we are leaving the tailgate alone until hopefully someone comes out with a badge that we like. Im not interested in exposing the 2 holes that are in the tailgate, nor do I want to do the body work to fill them.....so I'll impatiently wait for someone to create better options! :)

What about the gladiator from hauk
https://haukoffroad.com/shop-by/jt-products/jt-gladiator-tailgate-badging-kit/
I might put Rubicon back on the hood but the red has to go.
I saw that! I think its better than what is currently on the JT, but I am hoping that someone will come out with a better "JEEP".....perhaps more retro in styling..... Who knows...at moment our list of things to do is so long that Im thinking that something 'great' will show up... This forum is already killing our wallets!

I plan on changing all the red to orange. Bought plastidip for the jeep letters. Ordered decals from pixledecals to replace the rubicon, and ordered a custom badge from billetbadges.com. just waiting on a jeep at this point. KZS status...awaiting shipping

Aww crap I forgot they put red on the trail rated badge too. Damn it. Now I got to either dip or ditch that piece too.

Lift wheels and tires. Toyo open country RT 35s on 18 black rhino Arsenal’s with rough country 2.5 lift.
Hi Jjsudd
Are the Arsenal's the 18x8 or 18x9.5?

Finally got him in; meet Rudi! The name comes from the Roman term rudis which referred to a small wooden sword that was awarded to prolific gladiators whenever they were granted freedom.

Fresh off the lot driveway pic.

Rudi Sunset.jpg

The bayous swelled up and covered the road during one of the joy rides and made for a pretty good sunset pic!
