What are those lights for? Are they normally just reflectors? I gotta look at my truck.
I've been looking to do this exact mod.... taking measurements and looking at light options.... Now I know it'll work out... thanks for posting this!

are there any laws about having too bright of back up light?
I'm sure there are. This is America land of the regulations.

I plan on hooking them up to my AUX switch for now. I want them for off road lights and to light up my back up cam when needed.

Hell, for me, less than that.
I have a set I ordered when I had the ZR2 and never installed.
My issue is removing the reflectors that I've thought is the best design feature of the rear bumper.

Hmmm, why do you think it's the best feature?

Hopefully somebody at Sema will have a sweet rear bumper we can all oogle over.

I just REALLY like those reflectors built in.
Different from all the other truck's 'plain' ones, but one of the first things that made me go, "dayum, that was smart chit right there".

hey @smlobx and @Troybilt are you planning to put lights there for additional brake lights or backup lights, or off road driving lights?
Sorry I went to bed!
I’m thinking of using them as back up lights...as far as I know there are no issues doing it that way.

If someone does this please do a write up on it...I’m not sure it will work but I haven’t measured it yet.

It will definitely fit if you don’t use the face plate. I plan on cutting a pice of aluminum that will bolt right up to the reflector mount holes and mounting the lights right to that using the faceplate as a temples for the holes. I think this will give a much cleaner look and I will be able to center the light up much easier.

If you do that please consider making an extra pair. I’d be willing to pay you for them!

I had already looked at those lights and figured they could be trimmed to fit in the existing space... ordering them today and will begin mock up once they arrive..... picked up and 9" LED light bar from harbor freight and mounted it on my roller fairlead.... decent lighting for the price... and the AUX wiring is easy peasy! Have some ideas for a Chase bar,/rack behind the cab..... gonna do some cardboard mock ups once i clear some other projects....

I love the green trim on those letters.. I was wanting to do the exact same thing, but I am struggling to figure out which is the right base color for me.
