Got mine yesterday. Which washers do you double up in the front? Metal, rubber, or both?
I did both for no particular reason. Could use a bit more but so far, seems to work fine.

You mean it doesn’t come that way from the factory in the first place? Great little trick. Thanks.

Awesome, I just picked up my soft top JT yesterday, and one of my first mods was finding a quick release for the mullet. Much appreciated!
Ha Ha Mullet! JT is business in the front and party in the back!

where's the hack mod to remove my whole hardtop in minutes? if you figure that out @Godfadr , then i will praise you. :muscle:
Currently it takes us 13min to Have the (JKU) hard-top hanging in the garage. About $80 spent on hoist materials, hooks to the roof rack. I have a Yakima control tower setup, but you could use a gutter mount on the JL and JT hard tops.

I don't regret going with the soft top option but I REALLY hate the fact the top lays on the back when opened.

It now takes about 3-4 min to be totally topless.

Agreed. Love your solution. But, is there a convenient way to keep the soft top in the JT once it is removed? (so that it's with you in case of a surprise rain?)

Well, the bed is big enough. I am looking for a couple of 'covers' and a tied down system for just an occasion. - I want a cover for it since I have the Bedliner and that could beat it up pretty good.

Hello from SC. I have been watching this site since February, what a nice bunch. Sold my YJ and waiting for the diesel experiences before purchasing the JT. As for the toppers and such, a few questions. How close is the overall length of the hard and soft tops to the length of the bed? A bit of creativity could result in a bed rack that mimics the cab roll bars/framework. The hardtop rear section could be rotated 180 deg, installed backwards finished off with the front panels. Oh, the possibilities!
