To say it's a Jeep thing is a copout.
A common reaction . . . FCA banks on it. The Bronco may change things.

Flame away . . .

btw, Toyota continues to profit on the blind loyalty of their Tacoma buyers, and we deride that truck. As a somewhat objective consumer (in the minority on this forum): Just Sayin' . . . ;)

. ...I found my own solution. Ordered molded mats similar to weathertech that extend over the door sill so that water hits that mat on the door sill then runs into the bottom of the mat. Better than wet carpet and mold/mildew under the mat. So in the end, I've answered my own problem. No need to drive around parking lots to try and park uphill, lmao
Do you have pictures and a link to your solution? Thanks for sharing!

I have a Gladiator and i do not experience this problem.
Weird, I've not noticed this either and it's been raining quite a bit here. Wondering if I've just been parking on enough of a grade to not have the problem.

I have this problem with the soft top. I'm curious if you have the hard top or soft top? My hard top is on order so I'm not sure if problem would persist with the design of the hard top or not

This is apparent in the Hardtop as well, though I use the Bestop Sunrider now but it's pretty much identical as far as the rain channel. Had door open when it was lightly raining while filling up on gas and there was a steady drip of water from the front of the rain channel down to the door sill. The water would then run towards the mat. It's almost funny how this was overlooked or ignored, more so that some people think it's perfectly fine to have water drip into interior every time you open the door to get in your expensive ass truck. Not a dealbreaker but damn, really?

I am thinking about applying some butyl tape or something to the front of the channel to basically wall it up til I figure out how to do the mod mentioned in my prior post above, we'll see how it works.

Crazy storms yesterday. Hardtop and I didn't notice anything unusual and I was looking for it. yes a few drops dripped off the edge and hit the door sill. However more drops from the actual downpour wet the inside and seat than what came off the gutter from the roof. Interesting.

this is def a flaw with jeeps. all my jk soft tops and jl leaked. now gladiator! smh was pouring yesterday outside the jeep and inside! smh
Back in the day - the CJs had a gutter built into the edge of the windshield. Not unlike the DIY fix someone has posted. No gutter on the JL and JT windshield. When did they remove that from the design?
