Question on how to remove a panel

I am needing to mount a switch near the driver's seat ( no my aux switches won't work for this application), and think I have elected the panel that houses the transfer case shifter back towards the emergency brake. The panel houses the shifter boot and stops halfway under the e-brake. There is an edge, so I would think it's removable. Can anyone let me know how to take it off to see if there's room behind it for the switch housing? Thanks

Hope I'm not too late, this video shows how to remove the whole console, but it does show how to remove/access the item your are interested in.

I do love how he puts a big scratch on the console popping off a cover with a screwdriver.
