I'm currently running Terra Grappler G2s on my Range Rover, had them for 18k so far. Very quiet, decent on mild terrain, but they are possibly the worst AT tire I've ever run in winter. If I don't brake 3x earlier for any turn I want, I'll slide right past the turn if the roads are cold/wet, or have snow on them.Anyone else considering the Nitto terra grappler g2 in a 295/70/18 for their overland?
Hard to find 18’s that aren’t e rated....
looks like they measure 34.3
I've dropped my PSI another 5lbs and the issue persists. To compare, I had previously run KO2s and Ridge Grapplers, both of which are 2-3x better on and off road, in every scenario, compared to the TG G2s. If you lived somewhere like Arizona or SoCal where you don't get cold weather or snow they'd be perfect for daily driving and easy trails that don't require aggressive tires.
KO2s were significantly quieter than the Duratrac tires I've driven. I've not drive the Duras off road, but I was very happy with the KO2 tires on my F150. I had them for about 8k miles before I upgraded to 35" Ridge Grapplers, but the KO2 was probably the quietest and most competent AT tire I've ever used. Thanks for posting, that looks awesome. I now have a visual for Twizzler.
Debating the Duras vs KO2s, how is the noise level vs OEM?
