If you're getting bigger tires, you're replacing the spare too, right? So you'll have five tires to haul home?

Honestly, you might just rent a tiny Uhaul trailer and haul it one way. I imagine even a Gladiator could handle one!

I was thinking the same thing.

Grab a tarp and a cargo net and/or a tonneau cover off Amazon (unless you ordered one off the options list).

What about one of those cheapy hitch baskets that Used to be so popular?
I think I might keep this idea as a fallback.

Something like this would be able to secure at least four of the five tires.

Just load them on top. Stack them in two sets of 2 then put the spare in the middle. Strap them down but don't crank the shit out of the straps to deform the box. The tires laying flat will disburse the weight. You'll be fine.

Are you driving down because you have a trade in? Don't think bugs will be an issue this time of year! Let us know how you end up managing the load.
As a fall back - I'll be going down sometime in the next couple months to pick up mine. My bed will be empty if you have something that doesn't fit I could haul it back for you and drop off on my way thru Mass.
