Doesn't that bed look long to you guys? Looks like a 6' bed to me.
That’s what I noticed as well. Is it just a goofy angle from the camera? Overhang behind the rear wheels seems a bit much.

Yeah I think the wide angle of the camera phone is stretching the bed out. Look at the shape of the wheel.

Definitely looks like a bigger hood so I would assume a performance variant of some sort. Also the back windows are camo'd out and there is a wire from the back door to behind the bed. Maybe c02 testing for the new engine?

Looks like it goes out much further behind the rear wheel well.

Bed was regular length, it's just the warp cause I was using my phone's wide-angle option to get as much in the pic as possible. Very interesting about the Canadian/Alaskan excursion. It's also possible given the other wires that it just had diagnostic equipmunk under the hood bag.

Good point about the sound, there was no characteristic V8 rumble and he did punch it tad bit at one point due to the heavy traffic created by the big rigs. Those dudes (there were 2) were hauling fully assembled airplane wings, I'm guessing for Southwest given the paint job. But no, I didn't put the window down since it was cold as shit and I hadn't had enough coffee yet, but now I'm regretting.

My money is on the diesel, he seemed to move a little quicker compared to me when he stepped on it a little, even though I've got a stick and drive it as it should be driven, so pretty sure he wasn't running a Pentastar.

So I take it this was the new Mojave Edition with the raised hood?

I"m just glad it was NOT the rumored Hercules. I might have kicked myself for buying a Raptor if Jeep has released a Hemi powered Gladiator.
