I think the Wrangler production will start the end of Nov., maybe the JT 3.0L will start up ~Feb/March?

I saw an interview with a guy from Jeep here on this forum. It was a TFL video. He said the Wrangler diesel would be in dealer showrooms before the end of the year and in the Gladiator in 2020.

PS I don’t think they’re making JK’s any more...

IT'll be the 4th GEN diesel before they get around to it.

Maybe by then it'll be a quality engine :LOL:

Seriously though, if the Gladiator gets the detuned version that Wrangler is getting, which I would expect since packaging is identical, rather than the 480 lbs/ft version that Ram gets, that'll be a shame.

Yeah, but it has the potential for tuning, unlike the Pentastar.

Not really. Have you followed the new EPA news recently? They've cracked down HARD on tuning diesels. Like, really hard. So hard that a lot of companies are going to give it up. Even Green Diesel Engineering, which was my favorite, is talking about the end of tuning these things.

It's ugly ..... I was about to buy a tune when everything got locked down. Was thinking about going across the border but now worried my ecu may get held captive somehow...... fuckers

Just owning a diesel is becoming a pain. At my last yearly inspection the inspector told me that there is talk from the EPA that the inspectors will be required to make paint marks on nuts and bolts if any show tampering an inspection will be required every six months and if any work has been done proof will be required as to why these bolts were removed.

It all seems to start here but in this case it`s the EPA so country wide.
