Vinyl wrap accents

I have a Granite Crystal Metallic Sport S and wanted to add some subtle accents. The matte black looks good and goes well with the bare fenders.

The tailgate was a ton of work to get flat. I had to cut out the opening for the back up camera and removed the Jeep letters in the process. Got them back on with body panel adhesive.

I also did a hood accent vinyl and custom lettering for my detailing business from Don at Pixel Decals. He’s been awesome!

Last step will be the little panels on the fender scoops and plastidipping the grille to match.

I am planning to wrap the tail gate and hood the same way. I got body matched fenders and am thinking about wrapping them eventually too. I think I want to wrap the grill, but leave the inner sides of the grill vents and inner walls of the head lights body color.

I used matte black plastidip on the grille and added my company decals to the tailgate. I have also cut little accent vinyl pieces around the fender vents, but don't have photos yet. It is amazing how much the black ties into the paint color. You can't even see it a lot of the time - super subtle. I'm happy with it. Last thing I will do is use the matte black plastidip along the rockers because I hate the bare body pinch line along the bottom, under the doors.

Also, a quick note for anyone concerned - matte vinyl CAN be waxed/sealed without adding gloss (I'm a detailer). The best product available for the money is Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions, Spray Silicone Sealant. If you want to spend extra money, The Last Coat is even better to work with in terms of streaking and longevity.

I had my tailgate wrapped at my local Sunstoppers in Rock Hill, SC. They did a great job.

I think they are charging around $300 (+/-). I had my grill wrapped and windows tinted at same time so I got one bill.... I can't recall the actual breakdown. I am happy with it - glad I had it done.

Got mine done a week or two ago. I used the 3M 2080 Matte - Deep Black on the tailgate and hood. Looks great.
