I have a tuffy rear storage box from my TJ that I plan on mounting in the back. It fits between the wheel wells with a bit of wiggle room on each side. I’m looking in to ways to mount it so it doesn’t mess up my bed liner too much, while still being mounted securely - I also want to be able to remove it easily.
Can you show this box and post a link to it? Thanks!

Undercover Swing box. I like it, stays out of the way and lifts (and swings) out easily. Think I'm going to get one for the driver side as well. A little spendy though.

can you share some pics of depth on this, what can be stored, etc. Website isn't that great. Really like this.

Thanks for posting this. I like it but that's a lot of coin.

I did a test fitting with the Packout system. Looks like it will work for me. I need to investigate why it’s not sitting perfectly flat but it’s not a big deal. I think I have room for a piece of horse trailer mat that will level it out and still fit comfortably under the Tyger. I’ll figure out a way to lock it all in there under the locked soft tonneau just to be sure. There are plenty of options for that.

I like that especially for tools and smaller items! And they appear to fit nicely using most of the vertical space too

I have the MOPAR hard tonneau cover which is secure while the rear lift gate is shut and locked. Of course anyone could pry it open with enough interest, but they could also just break windows if they wanted in that desperately. I keep law enforcement gear in my bed and have yet to have any issues.
I ordered the hard tonneau cover for the extra security it might provide. Glad to hear it's working out for someone else.

I too struggled to find the right storage box that fit the gladiator ideally. I bought almost ever tool box and storage tote home and didn’t find the ideal. I finally settled on the 44” box from Tractor Supply.

It’s bigger than I was desiring, but does work quite well and is very roomy inside. It fits (just barely) under the Mopar roll up tonneau cover.

I had to put two 4x4 blocks between it and the front of the bed so the lid would open with tonneau cover rolled up. A common complaint in the reviews was that the lock hasp would not stay open (up), so it was difficult to open it without getting in the bed. One user showed using rubber bands to hold them open and I did the same thing. Now I can unlock each lock from outside the bed going to each side, they stay up and then I can open the lid and access my tools. I used a ratchet cargo bar to hold it against the 4x4 and the front of the bed.

All in all happy with this so far.

I like that.

But was curious, did you/can you bolt the box down to the floor of the bed (for the extra security)? I had a Tuffy lock box in an old Wrangler and the unit came with holes in the inside corners so you could bolt it down.

in case anyone is wondering, the 55 gallon Home Depot bins are spacious ... but about 6" too tall

I did not bolt it down. Didn’t really want to drill into the bed and wanted easily remove it, but don’t see any reason why you couldn’t bolt it down. I’m using a braided security cable thru the bed loops and the padlocks. It is a poly box, so not as secure as a metal box would be, but it’s the only thing I have found that fits (fills the width) and is easy to access without getting in the bed.

Just tried to install Undercover Swing Case on my Rubicon with Mopar hard bed cover. Cover will not close (passenger side). My driver side case arrives today(ish). It is possible I will be able to lower the brackets on drivers side to allow installation. Passenger side bracket needs to clear the 110 outlet. If you don't have 110 you may be able to tilt the forward end of the case or lower both brackets.

Jeremy at Undercover has been working with me to solve the height issue. Top of case is about 1/2 -3/4 too high. Will advise.

I am very impressed with the cases. That is why I'm working to make them work. They are out of the way. Hold a lot and are easily removed.

Thanks for posting this info, as I have the folding 3-pc hard metal cover. I was looking hard at these Undercover storage cases, although I don't have the 110 outlet. Even so, I don't want a hassle with fitment. Just looking for an easy install.
