I felt the same way at first, but then decided I like this better. Harder to see inside, no need to remove windows in order to fold down, easier to keep looking clean. Also, the blind spot isn't that bad. You can still see from the rear side windowsIt’s too bad that they didn’t put clear sides on it so you wouldn’t end up with a huge blind spot. Otherwise looks like a great cover to keep things good and dry.
I agree with all of those points. In addition, I probably will Jerry-rig some type of black interior cloth window shade for when I am parked in a public place with anything of value stored inside.I felt the same way at first, but then decided I like this better. totally agree, i contacted 3 alu-cab dealers yesterday and the north american distributor. Only heard back from 1 dealer in NC, but Eric has been most helpful.I must have missed it; sorry if it's been covered. What are the Alu-Cab's costing for the JT? Do they have the design finalized? I'd like to see how its shape matches with the lines of the OEM hardtop.
Ideally I would like a topper that follows the OEM lines and looks like it should have been there from the get-go. In addition, a black that matches the OEM hardtop would be great.

He said you can claim a pre-order now, but have to put 1/2 the money down of $3300. plus $100 shipping to a commercial location, or $200 to a residential one.
Not much info is available yet.
@smlobx, where did you order yours from? Was it also $3300 plus $1-200 for shipping without any options?
Also have optional sliding windows for the front and sides, right? I'm thinking I'll get the optional front slider, but don't know that I'll ever need it.I posted it here before but here is the price list. I believe the prices will be the same no matter where you order it from. I ordered mine from Asheville Outfitters..

How did you get that?Early model view acquired! AluCab Explorer Canopy specific for the JT.
Top is flush with hard top surface from what I'm told but next week I should have a better rear view showing the pitch difference between side door and Canopy topper.
A generous yet anonymous source .How did you get that?
Lol, only one way to find out!A generous yet anonymous source .
I honestly have no idea if sharing who would get them in trouble but I was given permission to share at least!
can you get a picture more from the rear to show the angles of the sides and if they sorta match the cab angling? it appers to be more upright than the RLD design, which i like.Early model view acquired! AluCab Explorer Canopy specific for the JT.
