Will do, but I'm most like going to keep them. Still have the factory wheels and tires too. When you go to 37’s and want to get rid of those 35’s and wheels let me know!

Finally getting around to installing this. Has anybody tried the optional brackets on the last page of the instructions? I think I've read somewhere else that the rail system in the Tacoma is close enough that people have gotten mounts to work. I wonder if these $17 brackets give it a better fit.

Unfortunately, these do not fit the Colorado cover. The lever that clamps into the tonneau is too long (or the tonneau rails are too close to the inside of the bed). They may work with the Tacoma version that I believe is a little wider, but not with the Colorado version, at least not without modification. I believe I can drill a hole in them to make them work, I'll post back if that works.Did you ever install these? If so, did it work with the trail rail system by simply sliding into the track?
From what I remember the instructions were saying that is was only wrong if the notch on the clamp was not inside the channel. It showed it angled overtop of the channel instead of in it. If you can see the clamp being over the lip, like in my pic above and made it "tight enough" like I did. It will be fine. 1600 miles on it no issues. How tight did y'all torque the bolts on the clamps? I just torqued them until they seemed secure but was curious what everyone else did since they're off camber which the instructions specifically state is wrong. Guessing the Gladiator bed is a little wider than the Colorado.
am I seeing that properly? Did you just drill and bolt the Velcro rail directly to the gladiator bed rail?Wow, this is a great top for the price! I have the Trail rails and you can see in the pic how I quickly and easily solved that issue with a 1/4" drill bit in the back. The front clamp is off angle but very secure if you put it together and put the bolt in last.
PS it was this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M1K4T40
That is correct! In the spring I will clean up the hole so it doesn't rust.am I seeing that properly? Did you just drill and bolt the Velcro rail directly to the gladiator bed rail?
If you don't have the factory trail rail there is no need to drill. I believe he did that because the trail rail was blocking where the rear clamp needs to mount. Those of us without trail rail had no need for drilling.I don't know if I'm ready to drill into my new truck. Cover arrived, waiting for nice weather to install.
