**START RANT**

he thought the 2.2 would be the diesel
This is a worry for me. If they do that I will look at something else! RAM have just announced the EcoDiesel (3.0 v6) in the 1500.

knew next to nothing about 3.0 eco
I have noticed that. Jeep dealerships are bloody usless in Aus! I actually had an argument with a 'salesman' in a dealership with him telling me 'Jeep will never bring out another ute'!
They really need to know more about their brand and what they do - past just whats on the floor! Jeep is a lifestyle brand, people (okay, me) are fan boys and usually know more than they do.

**RANT OVER**

Hope you all have an awesome weekend and nobody here or anyone you know are effected by the fires - other than the smoke is Sydney - we can handle that! :)

Thank-you ... but ... how can it be the 'international launch event' when they have been out in the US for months ... :headbang:

Has anyone heard anything?

I have looked on CarSales news, Bing and CarsGuide - can’t find anything.

#NoNewsIsNOTGoodNews! :)
We'll have more info today! A mate, Luke Harvey, is taking over the Jeep Australia instagram for the lunch!

Hopefully lots more tomorrow......

I looked at #JeepinNZ and it looks like all the utes are left hand drive! So not Aussie spec for sure!

I am now seriously thinking to just get a Dodge Ram EcoDiesel now. Jeep Australia is bloody useless!

Yeah everything has been LHD over there, we're still holding out hope of some RHD news though.

Have been speaking to my mate that's taking over the Jeep Australia instagram, the issue is they've actually been out of service so not being able to update often

So there's plenty of short clips up now from Luke and Jeep Australia which are all very nice but watching US spec Gladiators is all I've been doing since it launched.... ;)

Aus specs and price announcement coming? Somehow I doubt it but I am more than happy to be proved wrong.

Was just reading this article from Unsealed 4x4 Australia

https://magazine.unsealed4x4.com.au...ou_need_to_know_about_the_jeep_gladiator.html

They got to drive the Gladiator in New Zealand but "because of the embargo we can’t tell you what it’s like to drive until later in the month (January 15, 4.05pm)"

So Jan 15th they can tell us what its like to drive a left hand drive US specced Gladiator...

If only there was some other reviews online of how the US Gladiator performs...:CWL:

Well, if the tow capacity tops out at 2721kg, it's going to be a flop. There is no way they will sell enough of these to compete with all the current twin cabs and their 3500kg capacity. Especially if it's starting from 70 grand.
I was looking forward to buying a JT as my retirement tow car, but its not a practical alternative at all.
Jeep needed this to be a huge success to save them. They sold less than 6000 vehicles last year. Surely not sustainable?
And if we get a diesel, the tow capacity is even less.

Bugger.
