So I had this Mopar roof basket left over from my last Jeep. I got some KB Voodoo rails and made my own half-rack.

The original mounting points didn't line up with the new rails, so I just used some U-brackets. I will remove them eventually and plasti-dip them.

I've rolled the cover up to the 2nd rail, haven't tried rolling it past that. Don't think I'll worry about it, four bolts and the whole thing comes off.

My extra rear-view camera just didn't quite make it to the center. So I moved it over. The cover doesn't hit it. I still need to adjust it slightly, it doesn't have the right view.

This is awesome! Wonder, can the rack go taller?
KB Voodoo makes various height racks. I photo-shopped the different heights and made pictures, circulated them around work. The one a couple inches higher than this rated the best, but is $100's more expensive. Their racks are more expensive than their crossbars. If I end up not liking the height, I have some 4" aluminum box channel that I could run front-to-back. The channel would bolt to the crossbars, and the basket to the rack. But so far, I have no complaints. (except I still need to adjust the camera).

I first thought, wow that's a great deal on the KB VOODOO racks, then I realized that's a price EACH! Why would you price them that way, could you even use just one rack? Kinda deceiving....

It's not meant to be deceiving at all. You select the quantity when ordering and the price updates.

Somebody else on this forum recommend this one.

I have it in both our vehicles now. The rear view camera takes some getting used to, so I have them set to turn off after one minute. They are still fully operable as a rear-view mirror. When I want the view from that camera, I just tap the mirror and it turns back on.

Didn't take a picture, sorry. But yesterday we had to travel 100 miles to a Christmas party. On the way back we decided to support our local high school and get a Christmas tree. It was pouring down rain most of the way, the Gladiator did great. Freeway was closed down behind us because of a wreck. We made it through.

When we reached the tree farm, the sky magically parted and sun appeared. We picked our tree, threw it on the rack, and drove home.

Back home, all clothes in the bed were dry, the tree was secure up top. My wife is now a believer in the Gladiator. Gotta bunch of needles to wash off, but no problem...
