When do you think Jeep will make Gladiator "D" announcement?

All of us keep hearing that diesel in Gladiator will start building in spring 2020, if that is the case, shouldn't Jeep come up with the announcement relatively soon, like no later than January?

What is the time frame between Wrangler D announcement and order/delivery time?

No one even knows when the Wrangler ecodiesel production will start, much less how long thereafter the JT will get it. Interesting FCA opened orders for the JL diesel, when they don't even have EPA mileage numbers yet, several frustrated folks over on the Wrangler board stuck in D status.

There is one board member that claims he was told his Wrangler has shipped.

My friends third cousin's uncle's best friend overheard the Walmart cashier getting information from a customer buying six cases of redbull and maddog 2020.

It's going to be a disaster....not worth the wait. I've been waiting for years for them to get their diesel figured out.

I'm going to get the gasser and by the time I'm ready to trade it in after 3-5 years maybe they'll have a functional diesel to order.

+1. Why be without a JT for another year. I sure would not buy a first year JT diesel anyway. I don`t want to be the paying for the truck and doing FTC`s R&D in the process.

I'm starting to think this way as well.

It just pisses me off that the people in charge of government EPA/diesel stuff fly around in private jets and planes around the world to go to a meeting to tell us what types of vehicles they will allow us to drive.

I'd love to have someone figure out or at least speculate the following:

Since the EPA chokes out the diesel which severely limits MPGs. Which saves pollution from exhaust- back-end pollution (pretty much all they're concerned about).

But if they limit MPGs, then MORE diesel needs to be made which causes more pollution on the front end (machinery, oil rigs, transportation, etc...)
Makes me scratch my head and think that they are actually forcing more pollution to happen by trying to limit diesel exhaust emissions.

Anyone else think this way or am I nuts?

Your head isn’t right, you need to go to ‘re-education camp’. Well maybe not there yet but we are getting closer & closer to that every day.

It is the type of pollution that they are trying to reduce. NOx is not a friendly gas. And particulate matter can be very aggravating to people with respiratory issues.

Right, I understand. What type of fuel do tankers use to bring the diesel and gas to the gas stations? Don't they produce NOx?

What type of fuel does all the equipment needed use to process the crude oil into gas and diesel?
