Thanks Coreoski!
I can understand your need for “discretion”...
Stefan I believe it will be more vertical than the RLD design because the one for the 79 Series Land Cruiser is like that to better match the cab.
Here’s a picture of theAlu-Cab on a 79 Series crossing a river in a rather sketchy ferry... but you can see how the cab lines up with the canopy..

can you get a picture more from the rear to show the angles of the sides and if they sorta match the cab angling? it appers to be more upright than the RLD design, which i like.
That's what I'm hoping too. I asked for that kind of perspective exactly, expecting it this coming week sometime. :fingerscrossed:

I was told by one alu cab dealer he had photos of the camper on the JT, then he never produced them, I think it was a ploy because the other two dealers I'm in contact with didn't mention any. I don't want a camper, but right now I'd take any alu cab photos on a saw horse. Lol

with the alu cab canopy their site says 150kg can be loaded on top. Is that the DYNAMIC load?

i'm assuming so, a tent with 2 adults and 2 kids is going to be over 150kg.......

Early model view acquired! AluCab Explorer Canopy specific for the JT.

Top is flush with hard top surface from what I'm told but next week I should have a better rear view showing the pitch difference between side door and Canopy topper.

OH crap, I look like a hack now. Actually I got the photo from an alu-cab dealer that said he got it on a webinar.
Ahhh, Gotcha, I had a feeling you weren't just copy/pasting, no worries!

If I was in the market I love that camper design though!

EDIT: Okay i think i've done enough research, tell me if i'm wrong. @Oscar Indy got his alu-cab from a Brute, OFFMAPoverland's Gladiator Rubicon Build & Trip Journal So, the ones specifically for a Gladiator may vary @Lou3.6 . @smlobx , you've already seen that JT with the alu-cab, you asked about it in the link above.

Now I can go to sleep and dream the angle is a tiny bit more vertical. :involve::involve::involve:

This color looks way better, from this thead, https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/...a-canopy-for-the-gladiator.21814/#post-405390

This RLD however looks funny, bubbly and out of place. appears to be too much gap to cab, 3.5" taller than roof, and is slanted way more than Alu-Cab, look at the rear window!

I'll edit this post with RSI photos once we have those. For now, Alu-Cab has my vote.

I don't like any of these. If I am going to spend that kind of money It better look like it was designed to fit. These look like crap

B/A for a Defender . . . or any other vehicle with a FIXED ROOF . . . this puts a damper on so many of the Reasons we buy a Wranglers/Gladiators in the 1st place ! Now with some modifications (more $$$) you could maybe have some cake and eat it too ?
Uh, the (old school) defender doesn't have a fixed roof, but yeah blocking the removable roof isn't great. Safari rack that mounts to the bed and extends to the freedom panels (but not attached to the roof) would be ideal on the gladiator.

New Fas-top, I’m digging the 2-1 option, don’t always need so much storage and makes it easy to put the bed back to use for those dang motorcycles. The hardware was also top notch, still working out the placement of the rails, but both the top and the cover use the same quick connect bracepoint, so no extra hardware to deal with.

I like the idea of competition for Softopper and Bestop, but those wrinkles and the looseness of the top look awful
