Wow the 4Runner beat the Wrangler ..... thats got to be a first. Usually the Wrangler wins KBBs and Edmunds top resale value for midsize SUV

Gotta admit the Tacoma's resale value at 36 months is pretty incredible.

I still have a 1994 Toyota pickup 4x4 that I paid $7800 for in 1997. At that time it had 70,000 miles on it. I now have around 240,000 miles and I've been offered $6,000 and it's not even for sale. People offer me $$ all the time for it- notes on the windshield, random people in parking lots.... That's about 77% resale from a slightly used truck 20 years later!

My company car is a 4-Runner for this very reason. High residual values means cheap lease options. You can always spot the vehicles with the best residual values at my company meetings. Last year the lot was full of Ford Explorers, and now it's full of 4-Runners. Seriously, it looks like a Toyota dealership when we are all in town for meetings LOL.

I was recently offer 15K for my 2008 Sahara Unlimited with 120K miles. That puts it a 50% after 11 years. Also, JKU typically hold 80% (direct sales) after 2 years so I'm not sure what this data is based on.

Silverado #3? That's laughable.

I think a better gauge when new is the residual values that banks use on leases. Banks are all about money, so you know they're going to do their homework. No way the 4Runner or Silverado are ahead of the Jeep. And then on the used market all you gotta' do is browse AutoTrader, etc. and it's obvious this report is a joke.
