Was under the JT looking at how easy it would be to change the steering stabilizer and this nut with a little oil on it caught my eye.
Anyone have any ideas of why oil would be there?
Had an oil change a few months ago so it isn’t from that.

I don’t know if that bolt goes into an area open to the oiling system, but I would wipe it off and clean any oily residue and then recheck it in a week. If that same oil drop is back, have the service dept look at it. Make sure you tell them what you did otherwise they may simply wipe it off and send you on your way. It may be as simple as the bolt needs a little sealant on the threads. I say all of this as it is under warranty.

If it wasn’t under warranty, I would remove the bolt and check it carefully myself once I performed the above check. These are typically very easy fixes. ONCE YOU FIGURE OUT THE SOURCE OF THE OIL. Figuring out the true source however, can be a real challenge.

Best of luck!

Wiped it down and will check it in a few days.
Looks like I can see a little leaking where that mount is as well.

Update
Dealer said that leak was due to the timing cover leaking.
They supposedly have the parts on hand so hopefully I get my JT back tomorrow.

The saga continues..Two weeks to the day after getting the timing cover leak fixed and now it’s going back because the oil pan is leaking.

Ugh, I had the same issue. My Jeep has been in the shop for a total of 30+ days. It was eventually diagnosed as a timing belt issue and needed the engine cover replaced. While in there they messed up a couple other systems including pinching the coolant hoses causing a coolant leek.
Good luck!

Is it leaking on the actual small steel oil pan or the lower block aluminum engine skirt the steel oil pan attaches to? If just the small steel pan, that is pretty easy. If the lower block engine skirt, then it is probably leaking from their timing cover leak repair.

It looked like just around the small steel pan but I was so pissed I didn’t really look closely.I did notice that it was leaking enough that it sprayed oil all the way down the back of the undercarriage.

It’s running but I have been cursed with other issues as well. My problems span electrical, mechanical and safety.

Well the JT is back in the shop ughhhh.
They are hoping it’s residual oil leaking and so am I.
3rd time at the dealer for leaking issues in a month.
