Had a chance to go visit my truck. I am really happy with everything except the Mopar Exhaust square tips. First issue...they are butt ugly! Second issue is if or when you drag your bumper they will be history. I will be cutting them off but wondering if I should turn them and drop them out right behind the back tires or tuck them up and have them draft out the rear. Thought or suggestions appreciated.

How about dump them in front of the rear tires?

always thought that looked bad-ass

I'm with you, they gotta go. I'm not a fan of dual exhausta personally. Although I'm sure a good exhaust shop could come up with something cool. Hmmm...make them come out where there the reflectors are.

I also am curious how it sounds though.

Personally, I like them. The truck is square, the tail lights are square, etc. But that's subjective, of course. Yes, the location needs to be changed if you're gonna wheel at all.

Looks cool but cleaning the exhaust off the rear wheels is a real pain in the neck. I am leaning towards behind the back tire as you minimize the risk of smashing them, they are further back so the noise is less and hopefully less exhaust gunk to clean off the back of the truck.

I will let you know how they sound once I get the crazy thing off the rack.

That is what I am trying to figure out. Would I be ok with the square if it wasn't hanging under the back bumper. I supposed I could have the shop cut them off and dry fit them dropping out behind the rear tires and see what I think.
Thanks for the feedback.

I assume your JT is off the rack by now. Can we hear the exhaust? 😉

It looks better. Personally I dont love how it sounds. That said others seem to like it. I had a neighbor stop and ask me what was under the hood. ;)

I am going to hold off on making a final decision as to whether I keep it or it goes until after I install the 4:88's. Hoping to recognize a change with RPM and shift point adjustments with the gearing.
