I spoke to our rep yesterday and he said engineering knows about the issue and are working on it. What that means and how long it might take to come up with a fix is anybody's guess.

I can see the gap in yours. It doesn't look closed.
Picked up my Jeep today. The key fobs don't have the gap that all the others I have seen have. Maybe they finally fixed the problem.
Yea, that is a bad picture I think. I saw that after I posted it. The seam is the same all the way around . If you look at the picture on the first post that is what I have seen. Here is a better angle showing mine closed all the way around.I can see the gap in yours. It doesn't look closed.
What's the build date on your Jeep? I bought mine within a week of it being at the dealership in early October, built in September, I have the gap in the FOB.Picked my jeep up Wednesday, mines closed all the way around. Maybe they fixed it.
That's not the right angle though. The parts that were not full closed is near the metal on the non key sideIt seems they may have fixed the issue. I looked at a few fobs for new vehicles and they all were good. So I ordered a pair for my Treep and they both came in good. I'd say if it's an issue for you go to your dealer and get some new key fobs.
I brought this up to my dealer at the first oil change and instread of admitting there was a problem, the service manager showed me all the other screwed up key as justification this is normal. I'm also wondering how to get thjs addressed if the service dept. won't admit an issue.
Hi Sheepona,
