Same problem here. Just dropped off today. Dealer is going to try to reseal the glass; hopefully they don’t break it.
Hi Joe,
Please feel free to follow up with us after your dealer visit. If additional assistance is needed, we would be happy to connect you with a Case Specialist. Our team is available via PM.

Dealership is gonna replace the rear glass. Problem is that a replacement can’t be here until the 18th.

That is about what they told me. My brand new Jeep will sit there another week waiting on the glass. They have had it more than I have at this point.

Why not drive them while waiting on the glass to arrive? Toss in a towel if it rains. Is the dealer storing the truck indoors while it sits?

My thought exactly: "don't have the part? okay, call me when it arrives to schedule the appointment."

Got mine back this week after they claimed to have “replaced” the glass. Still leaking. Not happy at all. Feel like I’ve been lied to by the dealership after being patient and understanding during this. Now I plan to be the squeaky wheel until this is fixed.

UPDATE: The service person I worked with admitted that they didn’t replace the rear windshield. Story is that the replacement glass arrived broken. Then the glass company that they contract with to fix it advised that when they break the glass it will scratch the hardtop and require bodywork. They noticed that the original seal was folded down so they tried to fix it with a heat gun. That didn’t work at all. So they’re ordering another window, breaking mine, repainting wherever the hardtop gets scratched, and installing the new window.

Moral of the story here is absolutely do not let Jeep try to “repair” the leak. Pretty disappointed since I feel like I was misled in what they said they did was not what they did.

BS'ometer goes off again (directed to the glass company making this claim, not to you). When auto glass shatters, it shatters mostly in place and in tiny pieces; it's not like big slices of glass go flying out and hit the surrounding parts. I had the sucky experience of having to break the passenger window on my JK (will save you the long story) and as far as body or hard top damage goes, there was nothing. I understand what these places are likely doing is just covering their arses and not wanting to take a risk, but it would be so much better if they just admitted that from the start.

If broken glass scratches hard tops and requires body work, please show me (again, not directed to you :D )

Yeah I completely agree that this is BS. Auto glass shatters into small pieces for a reason. I’ve been to the dealership for this issue 3 times now.

Finally got my rear glass replaced yesterday and back in truck today after the 24 cure time. My Gladiator window replacement was a first for the glass company and dealership. Hopefully the next time it rains is uneventful.

Mine is at the shop now. Typical for Jeep though it was supposed to be done on Monday and is still there as of now with zero updates. Just a hassle all around for something they should get right the first time.
