I used my front hitch to maneuver my car hauler, turn it around in my cramped drive space and park it...........Worked quite well.

Very nice.:like: When I finally get around to doing my bumper I plan on putting a receiver on it also. That way I can pull logs onto my trailer with my winch.

You'll like it, I'm sure. These things turn pretty tight for a pickup anyway, that helps - easy to maneuver. Took me half the time to simply swap the ball mount from rear to front receiver, hook back up and park it.
If I didn't have so much snow piled up back there it might have been even easier.

Could you show any detail on how you mounted the front receiver?

It would take removing the air dam to show detail, but it's a hitch made specifically for the front of the JT - it bolts right on. It uses existing holes in the frame. No drilling. I did cut my air dam to put it back in place and this brand didn't come with brackets to hold the air dam back in place at the rear so I made a couple, but it turned out fine.

Amazon.
There are two brands that can be bought via Amazon for good prices - Curt and DrawTite
Curt has the brackets for the air dam,
DrawTite doesn't.
Both are good and well made. Both appear to have the same ratings as far as weight.
Some may not put the air dam back so won't need the brackets. To put it back requires cutting the air dam as I did.
Like I said - I ended up making brackets for mine.
I do plan on putting a skid plate on mine so I'll need to plan VERY carefully and make the opening in the skid plate for the receiver.
It was SOOO much easier turning my trailer around and parking it with the JT.
In the past I got close with my Chevy, spent a dozen maneuvers moving it out of the way, then using my lawn tractor to turn and park it.

You could check etrailer.com - they likely have install instructions posted as well as videos if you are lucky.

Pretty sure this is a first for a JT load......
Coaled fired, live steam 1.5” scale ride on steam locomotive.
Has jeep traits.....4 wheel drive, solid axles, coil spring suspension, full time lockers front and rear. Probably about 700 lbs in the truck. Rode sweet. Pulling my little teardrop trailer at the same time.

Spent the past few days in Big Bend region of Texas. Pinto Canyon, Road to Nowhere, Black Gap Rd in the national park (a Jeep hero badge trail for those interested in that sort of thing), etc. Great trip with some great folks. If you read "Overland Journal", the rig on the cover of the latest issue was on this trip (yes, it's a Toyota), as were the author of the article about Arkansas in the magazine.
