Dont want to change topics and if this was discussed in another thread please feel free to point me in the right direction.

My question of the day -

I just received the email pointing me to sign up for UConnect. If I chose to ignore it and not sign up what am I losing?

I have a manual so no remote start. I change my oil based on mileage not the remaining oil life displayed in the dash. I check my tire pressure with a gauge on a consistent basis (we have big temp swings here so tire pressure changes often) My wife has some type of satellite radio in our Escalade and I have never used it and will never use it.

Couple the above with I am not a huge fan of the connected universe we live in now days and I am questioning why I would activate this service.

@Russler since you wouldnt be able to remote start - Remote Lock, Remote Unlock, Remote Horn & Lights is on the remote screen in the app.
Location Tab, would be find your vehicle. Search for a location to “Send And Go” to your navigation unit.

I think that’s pretty much it.

As for the Uconnect app updating, I think I will be at 771 miles, until I pull the Tazer out for an oil change.

I got my Gladiator on 12/14. So not sure about the email they sent to someone.

How about this. Yesterday my 8.4 in my 2020 Gladiator Rubicon started dropping the front speakers intermittently. This happened on the SXM input. Today that problem is not present. Today the problem is that when I try to play music thru the usb #1 port there is no sound. Checked Uconnect .com and there are no updates for my vin. Anyone have a comment?

Mine plays normal mostly but it does drop the front speakers sometimes. I was going to ask the dealer about but they are far away and my local dealer are bunch of assholes and I hate them.

Hi John,

It appears this is happening due to your phone notification settings. If the notification volume is lower than the current volume of your sound system then when a notification comes through the sound will be lower. Please let me know if this helps your concern. If not, I would be happy to get you over to a Uconnect specialist.

New uconnect 8.4 question, phone via bluetooth.

Diving at 75 on a call via bluetooth person said the noise is unbearable, and i could barely understand them.

Don't move the phone but out it on speaker phone and much better and tolerable.

What gives?

Samsung Galaxy s9 on Verizon, full 4g 4 bars on I5.

I'm going to try again this evening, and hasn't been mentioned before on other calls.

I have this issue at times, but it’s while using CarPlay, which is pushed from the iPhone. If I hit pause for a few moments, it generally starts back up. There are also times that I have to shut down Pandora on my phone and press play again on the Jeep’s display. What phone and app are you using?

Deleted and paired the phone after a phone reboot, send better.....

This is what mine is currently showing. It is accurate. I last drove it two days ago. My passed systems does only show 12, and it used to be 13. Last month it was showing a failure in the Air Bag system, but I never got any warning lights on the dash.

I'm in the Uconnect app and have successfully tested and used the Lock, Unlock, Horn/Lights, etc. functions but when I press the INFO button at the bottom of the screen, I get the prompt VEHICLE DATA UPDATING but after about 30 secs. I get "Your vehicle data could not be retrieved." Have I missed a box click somewhere along the line? FYI - I've got the 8.4" screen. Also, there's activation function in the Apps menu - wants name and email - but it never gets beyond that. Ready to call salesperson that sold me the vehicle but thought somebody here might have a solution. Thanks in advance.

My dealer set it up for me. I got the emails on my phone and setup a password. Everything was working before I drove it off the lot. Some have reported doing it by using the Activation icon on the App page.
