Empty trailer headed to Omaha, stopped at rest stop,
trailer with a couple of dealer signs and tires in the box heading back home.
We put the signs between a couple of 12' 2x4s and covered with a couple sheets of 1/2" plywood to keep the wind from ripping up the sign "plastic" and used my car straps to secure.

Man, those tires were a full load back there! Took a bit for us two older folks to lift them into the truck. Didn't help that the driveway and street were PURE ice and I had to be in 4 wheel drive to get the truck to back the trailer without going sideways in the street. We were slipping on the ice trying to lift them into the truck.
The tires and trailer did drop the back a little - will have to measure it before I unhitch and unload to see how much.

Why - and what's the point? To prove we can all ignore the numbers? They mean nothing? So what's the fudge factor?
For some reason, that doesn't sound like an automotive engineer............ could be, but in any case, why are we trying to prove the numbers are BS and we can toss on an extra half ton with no issues?

Why? Is there a point - why not go by the numbers?
Doing otherwise and ending up causing an accident - well, we know the rest.

More so to show that numbers do matter. I did include the thread to show taco owners saying overloading had bad consequences.

And people sometimes do need to overload. It can be inadvertently or because honestly, stopping your plans to go rent a proper size truck can be a bother. As with all my threads on such matters, I want to go by the posted numbers of the vehicle, let FCA bear the liability for them. But, I also want to know what my vehicle is CAPABLE of, not just what it SHOULD do. If I need to put 2000lbs in the bed plus me driving instead of 1250lbs plus me, I need to know what are the consequences of that before I decide to do it.
