@Fireman 848 how difficult was this to do? Will the paint chip? Excuse my ignorance, but I REALLY like that look and your setup is exactly what Im after.
Honestly, not sure how it will hold up. Dealer charged $300. to paint stock wheels. Thought that wasn't bad. Plus, with this inexpensive mod, it gives me some time to really decide which aftermarket wheels I want. Plus, in New England it's always good to have an extra set of winter wheels. But I am thinking it needs 35" tires. Right now just digging the look.

I bet they used a clear coat on there, automotive paint should hold up well.
I have used an epoxy spray paint that is black satin. I sprayed the door locks on my SX4 to match the black Jeep door handles I put on the car because the chromed door handles looked out of place on a Sport model with all the trim blacked out. It holds up pretty well to key scratches and wear and weather. It ain't cheap - but does a nice job.

I like this look. Reminds me of mine: Gladiator Launch takeoff wheels/tires, suspension (rubi coils and fox shocks) plus a 1” Teraflex spacer up front. Beyond happy about it.

255/70R17. Not taller but slightly wider. These are my winter wheels now, I have a set of Rubicon wheels with 255/75R17 that are for summer. Thinking about 255/80R17 for the summer wheels.
