I replaced the front resonator with straight pipe. Almost as quiet as stock, maybe slightly less restriction, better ground clearance where the stocker could get hit from high-centering.

I went with Mopar Performance Exhaust then had the butt ugly square tips (1st pic) hacked off and replaced with black anodized tips coming out right behind each of the rear tires (2nd pic). My neighbor stopped me 3 days ago and asked if my truck had a small block in it because he loves how it sounds.

Yes it is the Stainless Steel "PRO" model. I love the kit. .
hey, since you have the MBRP broke in by now do you still have the Drone?
I have found my MBRP has become lower in tone since broke in.

hey, since you have the MBRP broke in by now do you still have the Drone?
I have found my MBRP has become lower in tone since broke in.
I'm up to 1400 miles. No drone anymore since I tightened the front clamp that attaches exhaust to the factory y-pipe. I'm happy with it. Sounds nice, great tone, especially when under some load. When you get on it and it downshifts and revs up it is amazing how much the volume increases.

Good to hear. Mine is the same and the sound is at the end if the pipe.

Question for all of you who chopped off your exhaust, what was the weight of the OEM system compared to your replacement? I know it used to be you could cut a substantial chunk of weight going with an aftermarket system but I'm curious if that still holds true with how much OEMs are cutting weight for fuel economy.

You have a great question. I, unfortunately, can't answer that one, I was not worried about weight. Someone might have an answer.

If I remember properly, OEM exhaust is 48 lbs.

I have seen the video where the guy cuts off his exhaust and just uses the rear resonator and down tip right after the cats. Has anyone tried or seen anyone cut off the exhaust just after the first resonator? I was thinking of doing this and then just adding a small section of pipe with a down tip.

I went with the Borla Climber setup with the “touring” muffler.

Its got a nice low key rumble and tone. I do a lot of highways and such so wanted something reserved. Its where I almost want more volume running around town, but when I am on the highway its just perfect. It doesn’t drown out the stereo, but when load is applied it makes a great background track.

I went with Borla Climber S Type. Middle of the road between touring and ATAK. sounds good, feels freer.

I bought an MBRP exhaust for my 2015 Mustang GT. In under 3 years the muffler rusted off of the pipe. I reached out to MBRP as it was supposed to have a 3 year warranty on it. They said they don't warranty "corrosion". The car never saw snow (salted roads) and never when near the beach either. I'll never buy another product from MBRP. YMMV.

Just curious if your system that failed was the aluminized version or the T-304 stainless?
