I’m looking to lift my JT just a bit. Want to keep most all stock. I’m in between running the 1.5” tera flex and 0.75 Daystar or I found a guy selling a rubicon suspension off of his JT. Thoughts as to which I should go with?

I do light trail riding but mostly use the JT for camping (RTT) with my family. I just put 285/70 falken wildpeaks and don’t plan to go any higher anytime soon.

any input would be greatly appreciated.

I couldn’t be happier with my 1.5” Teraflex kit

I used that same Teraflex/Daystar combination on my Rubicon when going to 35's but only installed the 1" riser up front (it comes with two rings, 1" and .5" you can use together or separately). Wanted to keep the factory rake so when I tow or haul a load it won't squat too much.

I have had ZERO issues with my 1.5” TerraFlex lift. Cannot beat it for the money IMO!

I all ready have the Rubi suspension on, now that I have a bumper on and winch ready to mount I am going with the Teraflex to have the option on the lift. (1”/1.5”) to just remove the sag from the extra lbs. up front.
Keeping the rake....

I don’t see the need for the Rubicon suspension but it’s your money if you want it. I had 35s with no lift/level and had zero rubbing at full lock. I added the TerraFlex because 1-it’s cheap and 2-just wanted a little more height for aesthetic reasons only. All this being said, my off roading consists of woods trails, fields and such. I am not a rock crawler. My $0.02

Personally I just went with the Teraflex and kept the rest of my max tow suspension

Got the Teraflex installed with the Rubicon take off. Its sitting almost 2" higher in the front and about 1.5" in the rear. The ride is definetely more responsive. I can feel the difference in the shocks. I did opt to only go with the 1" portion of the Teraflex vs. the full 1.5". I believe running 33's it looks fine with plenty of flex. I also installed the 0.75" daystar in the rear at the same time to continue the factory rake. I have the tent on the bed and didn't want to have any sag with the additional weight. I believe it looks good. I also like how I can go back and install the additional .5" later when I add a bumper and winch, should I see a drop in the front. Hats off to Teraflex with a nice design. FYI installing those bumpstop additions is a royal pain in the a$$. Save yourself a few moments for some choice words and a tall glass of "water" when installing those. Ill try and take some better pics later.

I'm actually going through this decision right now. Have a chance to buy a Rubi takeoff suspension setup, or buy a Teraflex kit just to level the front end out a bit. I guess my main question is will the Rubi setup feel/drive that much better than the stock Sport S suspension...
Secondarily, I just put on Nitto Ridge Grappler 33's and feel that they may be a bit small for my taste with the Rubi suspension.

it honestly drives a little better. More responsive “spongier” ‍♂...go with both and no my 285’s I feel look/fit fine. Hope this helps

I ordered the Daystar .75" spacer kit. Confusing because it says it's .75" lift front and rear and leveling but a .75" rear lift would need a 1.5" front to level it. Confusing.

Here's my jt sport s max tow with 35x12.5r17 bfg KO2 no lift winglets removed. Box stock otherwise. Works really good.
