Will i need the origional vin to install it? Do you still have to goto the dealer to make it work? What is it worth?

You need the 4 number Anti Theft pin code. That can be obtained from the dealership with the vehicle VIN and radio serial number.

Ideally, I would ask the original seller to try and obtain it as a condition of the sale. Many times the original owner can just call the dealership and provide vehicle VIN and radio serial number and many dealerships will give it at no cost.

Lastly, there is a few online places that will give you the serial number for a nominal cost of like $20-$35 dollars. These are many times dealer techs who run a side hustle of accessing and providing the info from their dealership day job. Just make sure you pay with something like Paypal so you can have some buyer protection and a buffer of your payment information between you and the seller.

As to cost, no uncommon to see these 7.0 radios go for $600-$700 range.
