$ 10 Quick disconnects.
8 stainless washers
2 7/16 hitch and clevis pins

Heat shrink the pin for quiet operation. Ran these on my TJ for years. Worked great.

Man I used to do these same ghetto discos on my YJ about 15 years ago. The issue is they eventually go sloppy and begin to clunk. Best thing you can do is get some actual discos. The other issue I’d have is corrosion and the pins and the posts would bind. I used to carry needle nose and a mallet in my car at all times.

Haha well at 16 I didn’t know my head from my ass. Plus the YJ was a bit more rickety than the JTR

Lol, this isn't your YJ or my old TJ. The passenger side is double shear, it wont wobble, ever. Double shear is when the bolt or pin is supported by two points of the bolt. The driver side is being swapped out with a quick disconnect stud from rubicon express. So the orange justice quick disco 2.0 will be coming when I get the part. Still be better than a 200 dollar disco. Well because you made it yourself.

TeraFlex Sway Bar Quick-Disconnect Lower Stud Kits 1943705

I ordered this and am going to give it a shot at least till I get the Tazer (not even sure if the Tazer is going to work for me). I am used to having the sway bar disconnected in even 2wd when wheeling...mainly mountain roads.

There should be some kinda of override on the Rubicon

@BrentThomas how did your kit work out? I thought the Rubi express or TF kit had the spacer bushings as well?

@Brfertig any update on the 2.0 setup?
Still sitting on the shelf. I am in the middle of installing arb lockers, 4.88 gears, and just got my super 35 spline shafts in the mail. I have half dozen projects going on. Getting ready to jump to 40s on my new super axles. :D

Solid, I use the almost the same $10 recipe except instead of heat shrink I use electrical tape as it holds the washers still over time. I also use the factory washer on both sides to give an even tighter fit. I'm excited to see the 40s on the rig

That pin isnt really designed to do that....

what needs to happen is to weld another tab to the axle so the pin goes through 2 holes..

Double shear vs single shear
