I read online that it can be done so I thought I would try as I don’t want to lift my 2020 Gladiator Rubicon. I wanted that big tire stuffed look, kinda like the Arctic trucks. I ended up going with a Toyo Open Country R/T 37x12.50R17 mounted on 17x8.5 XD811 Rockstar 2 with +30 offset. The tire tread sits flush with the fenders and the tire bulge sits just a bit past the fender, exactly what I wanted. The tires balanced up nice and have no shake at speed. In normal driving conditions the truck had no rubbing at all, even with my mud flaps. I did get some rubbing with moderate flexing in the wheel wells off-road with the tires turned, that was with full air in the tires and not airing them down at all. It’s pretty amazing how much fender clearance you get with these Gladiators.

Dont know if this will help since you do have to remove the front mud flaps but if you do some offroading it would be nice to have a fender chop kit from AAL (American Adventure Labs) to get some better clearence

Did you do a gear change? If not, How is the power with the larger tires? Did you notice a difference in acceleration?

I'm running 37" x 13.5 tires on -6 offset wheels with no lift right now while I'm building up my airbag system. I lost around 1.5" of front suspension height when I put on a bumper and winch, but there's not much travel available before tires touch fenders (high Rubicon fenders). I wouldn't recommend running 37s with no lift or you'll probably tear up your fenders - especially if you're running low fenders.

I get around 2" of shock travel in the front before the tire hits the fender at full lock. That's not nearly enough for offroad, but it works alright for on-road. The rear gets around 2.5" at the shock before it's stuffed in the fender.

I've extended my rear bump stops to keep the rear tires out of the fenders and I'm working on a bump stop solution for the front, since I have to hack out the front bump stops for the airbag mount. I bottom out the rear pretty often on my lengthened bump stops, even just by hitting a speed bump a little too fast. It sucks.

I had to trim my WeatherTech mud flaps in the front since they'd rub at full lock.

Gearing was terrible with the manual transmission so I swapped in 4.88s. It's magic now. A little more gear than the stock gear/tire setup, which I found was a bit lacking on hilly and windy highways. It's way more fun now and my fuel economy even improved by around 1.5 mpg.

Don't know who any of those people are, but that does look like a vineyard in the background of his pictures...

I did not do a gear change and don’t think it’s needed. It still has plenty of power but is slower with the big tires

Wouldn't you like to know.

He said there isn't much of a difference but I have 35s with steel wheels on my JK so about 145lbs on each corner and I can tell you that it was bad with 3.21 but with the gladiator ratio it should be a lot better BUT with 3.21 and the 35s I used a flashpaq and it was like a dream again. so even if you don't want to rehear (which if you do stick a locket back there if you don't already) but def. get a flashpaq.

Looks great. Did you go to 4.88 gear or stay stock 4.10?
