I see a grommet on the passenger side under the dash. I still need to see where that pops out in the engine bay.

Are there any other options?

I thought I saw on a JK you could pop the passenger side of dash off, with the door open, and there was a hole with insulation you would push through and it came out just under the hood.

On the drivers side look at firewall; there is a large hard plastic plug and just below that is a smaller rubber plug (soft) if you pop that plug out you'll see some white foam type insullation. That leads into the passenger compartment. Inside the passenger compartment under drivers side is a soft plastic firewall liner that goes almost all the way across inner firewall. If you have someone stick a screwdriver or sharp pointed probe from engine compartement towards interior or drivers side you'll see that the soft plastic inner liner will give a little.
I had a buddy push through from the engine compartment and poked through the hole. I ran a seperate 12 volt wire for one of my radiios from engine compartment (battery) through this hole.
I first ran it through that little plug and once wires was run replaced the rubber plug and put some silicone around it to ensure it stayed in place.

This is a great resource so I'll add some links and pics that might help all of us when the time comes to run wires through the firewall...

Text from it: Do you have an auto? If so, super easy to run wires into the interior. Find the round black plastic grommet where the clutch pedal would go if you had a manual, it is just to the right of the brake booster when you are facing the front of the Jeep and looking on the right side of the firewall and behind the master cylinder. From the engine bay you can drill a hole and fish the wire easily inside, and when done use silicon sealant to plug the gaps and prevent water leaks. I did this for installing a HAM antenna cable.

The pic below is from this thread:

Note that Mile High Punk'n says, "Its the plug above the one circled. It has 2 tabs sticking out. Twist it and it will pop out"

I assume the correct plug is the large one but I'm not 100% sure...

Found a YouTube video showing the firewall plug on a JL Wrangler (maybe a 2018) - confirms it's the upper plug - this screen capture shows the plug removed:

And here's the plug - it has 2 tabs on it...

Obviously it's on the Driver's side adjacent to the brake booster...

Here's a link with more information on this pass through and plug:

There's a way to get wires through on the Passenger side too (good to know since the battery is on that side). Here's a link to the text below (keep in mind that this and other links are from/for the JL Wranglers which, depending on the year, are identical to the Gladiator from the B pillar forward)...

https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/fo...-firewall-is-there-a-grommet-somewhere.12593/
Found the grommet. Passenger side, underneath the fuse box. I found it was easier to access it from underneath. Pry back the plastic fender well with your hands and look for where the mother wire harness passes through the fire wall. That’s your grommet. Accessible in passenger’s side footwell.

From the cabin side, I cut a hole in it with a jacknife, then punched through it with a heavy-duty coat hanger, then used that as my snake to bring wire through, and pass it up right next to the fuse box, then to the battery.

Here's a video a guy did on his 2018 JL Wrangler - different plug higher up - not sure it's the same on our Gladiator (have to check):

do you think removing the fender flare and tire would give decent access to that passenger firewall? Fender looks like it’s kinda easy to remove...

It might but why? What are you trying to do - where are you trying to run wires from and to? Can't you do what I or others have done to get wires inside your Jeep?

Attempting an amplifier install soon. Have a manual transmission, so can’t use the driver side grommet to get a wire from battery into the cab.

Ok. So, are you running 1 HD hot cable into the passenger compartment? Where are you running it to - where will the amp be located?

probably going to put amp under rear seat. 4 gauge wire. I’m thinking taking fender flare off might be easier to get to that firewall than removing battery/fuse block/whatever else. Won’t know until I get in there I guess

If you are just trying to run a wire through the firewall, you can just use the tool to poke through, its a tight grommet and the tool makes it easy.

Ugh, that job sucked.

To go through the Top of the passenger firewall with a power wire required removal of battery, fuse block, secondary battery, the air box, and the mount for all those things. Fender I took off as well, but was probably not required.
