- Jeep TJ Rubicon Brute conversion
So in my Brute I run an ARB 63 qt. With an ARB slide, their wiring and plug.
Run it off a single red top Optima. Not a great choice in a battery to run down often, but have the ARB cutoff set at 11.2 volts. This keeps ample power to start the truck.
Dimensions: it’s big
19 1/2” tall at its highest while mounted on the slide. That puts the lid when fully opened at 49” high off the truck bed.
Weighs at just over 100lbs empty. Both fridge and slide. The slide has infinite adjustability in the bearing wheels so it doesn’t rattle when off-road. I really couldn’t hear it anyway over all the other noise, it’s a TJ of course!
I purchased the slide only so I could slide it out from under the tent rack to fully open the lid to load and unload. The slide has a stop at fully closed and fully deployed. It deflects (droops) about a 1/16” fully loaded and deployed. Nice.
When not wheeling, it has a 115 plug built in that I plug into the wall of the garage, it transfer power automatically.
Mind you that is a 5’10” bed, 17 “ high.
