Just installed my Rusty’s Off Road JL Skid Plate on my JT that I had repowdered to match my bumpers since I took off the plastic lower air dam that left me with an unfinished look and I am in love with the fit and new finish. I also added my own black oxide button head cap screws and washers to clean it up even more. I think one of the best things about this skid plate that I like the most is how it wraps around the sides and hides the unsightly bumper brackets. #rustysoffroad #quickstrip

Installed a set of Diode Dynamics switchback white/amber turn signal bulbs to my front fenders that I bought locally along with a pair of 6 ohm resistors at Road Runners in Woodbridge, NJ. #shoplocal #nocode #errorfree #diodedynamics #roadrunnersperformance

***If you use the G2 Spacers you cannot use the OEM lugnuts (at least with these wheels) because they are too short so I had to purchase 1 1/2” lugnuts from my local go to guy @roadrunnersnj
A local shop just installed the G2’s on my truck last week.

Today, I was installing RokBlokz and felt like the lug nuts “seemed” as though they were sticking ever so slightly further out than before (might just be in my head).

You tell me—does this look like the factory lugs on my factory Ovetland rims are protruding ever so slightly more than they should?

I think I scored the last 37x12.50-17 Ridge Grappler in North America yesterday that should be here on Monday so I can mount it up on my new Rugged Ridge bed mounted spare tire carrier. #staytuned

Did you change from the Savegre to the Fuels, or is this just a mismatched wheel on the spare?
I’ve got 5 Fuels now. Just waiting for some better lighting to take some pictures.

What prompted the change? Just mixing it up?

I loved everything about the AEV wheels except for the fact if you run a 37” Nitto Ridge Grappler on a non max tow Sport Gladiator they will rub in the front on the lower control arms. I then added spacers to remedy this problem, but the poke I was getting after the spacers were installed was too much for my liking. I purchased one of the first Gladiator spacer lift kits directly from AEV when they first became available and after notifying them that I was getting rub they actually added a disclaimer in their website the next day stating they you had to use BFG’s and only up to 35’s in a Sport. At this point new wheels are cheaper than new tires to achieve the stance I’ve been looking for since day 1. That’s why I orders the +6 Fuels because the ¾” inch difference that they give me over the +25 AEV’s mimics the max tow wide axel perfectly with it’s slightly over 5” backspace to works good so far.

Not sure if it’s just my Anza’s or what, but the +6 wheels I ordered actually say +7.4 on the box and Custom Offsets is clueless as to how this happened. If I had a chance to do it all over again I would have ordered elsewhere because everything from their tracking tool to customer service is horrendous.

Please excuse the power of the morning Jersey sun, but I just wanted to snap a few pics of my new wheels and bed mounted spare that I took this morning after having my track bars installed.

I am absolutely in love with my new Fuel Anza Set up. They are 17x8.5 +6 with 5” of backspacing with 37x12.5-17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers mounted all around including the bed mounted spare on it Rugged Ridge carrier and provide me with the almost flush look I was searching for.

***FYI the box on my Fuel Wheels said +7.4 offset. Not sure if that’s normal or just mine as the measure a hair over 5” of back space.

I also had Clayton from and rear adjustable JT track bars installed to center my axels that were off ½” up front and ¼” in the rear since installing my lift back in March. They center the axels perfectly, the front fit with no issues, but the rear Johnnie Bolt had to be cut a little because it would not screw all the way into the track bar. I probably should have just left the factory one on so unless you’re over 2.5” it’s probably overkill but it was on the lift and taken apart already so I didn’t want to turn back.

Looks awesome!

BTW, a hair over 5” means a 7.4mm offset.

7.4 mm = 0.291”
6 mm = 0.236”

Backspace = wheel width divided by 2 plus offset plus 1/2”

So:
7.4 mm offset = 5.04”
6 mm offset = 4.99”

I really like the tire carrier but wonder about visibility out the rear window. I even thought about purchasing a rear view mirror camera but have no found on that is “always on”

Looks awesome!

I know that, but apparently Fuel doesn’t as they market it as a +6 and are insistent that it will measure 5” exactly. 🤷🏼‍♂️

BTW, a hair over 5” means a 7.4mm offset.

7.4 mm = 0.291”
6 mm = 0.236”

Backspace = wheel width divided by 2 plus offset plus 1/2”

So:
7.4 mm offset = 5.04”
6 mm offset = 4.99”
