2020 Jeep Gladiator Launch Edition - White
New to the Gladiator club! I think this is Jeep number 13 in the last 19 years but I've never owned a Wrangler... this might be the closest I get. My most recent builds have been named after Jeep trails in Colorado and the Gladiator is named after the trail that connects Ouray and Telluride. The two most recent builds:

I sold my '17 Shelby GT350 last fall and put in an order for a 2020 3.0L Rubicon in Bikini... but after 3 months of waiting and after seeing a Hydro Blue JT next to a Bikini JL I changed my mind in favor of the Gladiator. I stumbled on a fully loaded Rubicon only missing a painted hard top. On the dealer lot:

The plan is to build a medium capability offroader that I can use to drive from TX to Moab or Ouray comfortably... And maybe pull the MJ every once in a while (though my Ram will still be the primary tow vehicle). Normally I'd lift the Jeep myself at home in my shop but i'm on a trip right now and the dealer made me a good deal on the installed lift so I went for it. At delivery:

How in the world does one get a Launch Edition leather wrapped dash on a non LE?

Makes me feel not so special anymore...

Wheels are the hardest decision for me. I love my factory wheels, but wish they were a bit wider. I’m not a fan of wheels sticking out, even that far. I’m waiting to see the new AEV wheel when it comes out before I make a final decision.
Yeah Dave said the new design was going to be pretty neat. Looking forward to seeing it when they finally release pictures!

I had some ARB Intensity lights from an XJ project years ago that didn't fit on a bumper... they fit just fine on this one!

I used a 4 contact DT connector just below the factory harness for ease of uninstalling the bumper:

I made a quick hardtop hoist in the garage out of a come-along, rope, and some eye-hooks:

Not Gladiator related, but...your XJ builds have inspired me over the years. They are so good in many ways. I just picked up a 98 XJ for my son as a father /son project. It’s bone stock and super clean, we have a list of stuff planned for it. What fenders are on the blue one? I love the LCG look with big tires and that would do the trick.

The blue XJ has Notch Customs fender flares. I actually have a set ready to go on my Comanche. Love them! Thought they are a huge pain to install.

How do you like the ARB lights, do you think they are worth the money?

Honestly I haven't really tired them out yet. I just had them laying around (I bought them 4 years ago for an XJ) and threw them on. I did have a set of the huge 9.5" ARB Intensities on my WK years ago when ARB first came out with them. They are pretty darn bright! Though costly. I think I'll end up going with JW Speaker TS4000's for my MJ as those are just about as bright and half the price.

This summer has been a blur of work and other Jeep projects but I did manage to upgrade to AEV Savegre II's! Unfortunately no Colorado wheeling... Other than a few years overseas, this is the first year since '08 that I haven't made it out there for the 4th.
