Greetings!

My wife and I picked up “her” new Gladiator a few weeks ago. I was shocked when she told me she wanted a Gladiator. I thought they were cool, but for her?? I could have sworn we were going JLUR, but she loved the ride quality and the looks so much more.

She has lovingly named her new Gladiator Dorothy (more to come on that) and wants to turn Dorothy into a capable overlanding machine. I, of course, had no influence on that.

This will be my first build journal and I’ve never substantially modded a car before, so it should be fun and interesting. I am using professionals on things that require skill like lift and regear, but I plan to do bumpers, winches, etc. myself.

Enough talk, here are some premod pictures:

Your lady has good taste! (In vehicles, at least; I have no idea if you are a looker or not).

Did a little car review with my son for his YouTube channel. We try to keep it interesting for kids but somewhat informative for adults. He go into some of the bigger YouTubers about a year ago and wanted to create his own channel.

Got some supplies and accessories ready to install. Not shown is the Fab Fours Stubby, Tonneau Cover, and the Ace Engineering Steps but first we need to get the lift and some new shoes.

Will post the details on lift and tires, but here's a quick video on it. Suffice it to say, Dorothy has her red shoes!
