Ok, the @Clayton Off Road 3.5” overland plus lift is on. Paired it with Fox 2.0 performance series shocks. The Adams front driveshaft is ordered and goes on next week.

Here are the details:
Adjustable upper and lower control arms front and rear
Tuned springs (clayton specs)
Bump stop extensions
Clayton rear adjustable track bar
Rear Brake line extensions
Adjustable sway bar end links front and rear
Fox 2.0 performance series shocks

This kit is awesome. Rides way better than before. Will have to wait until the driveshaft is on to go off road but i expect some better flex and articulation all the way around

The Adams driveshaft is in. Excellent piece. Can check out my initial thoughts here

This shaft was built with 1310 joints. After research on pros and cons of 1350 with my setup and talking with the pros, the 1310 was the best choice. This way if something snaps it should be a $20 u joint you can find everywhere instead of an axle.

This is just about the exact set-up i plan to go with. How tall (from ground to top of roof) is your rig?

Here are a few shots of some quick measurements I took. Almost 80 inches, need a straight edge to get a better look off the cab.

Perfect height, thanks.

How much of a difference was the regear from 4.10 to 4.88? Also, with this high of a lift and latrge tires, seems like the upgraded driveshaft is recommended. Do you think this is a must?

For me, the 4.88’s were a no brainer. With higher altitudes or routinely carrying heavy gear, 5.13’s may be better. Yes the difference from 4.10 to 4.88 was huge. Not so much in terms of raw acceleration, but more in terms of mid throttle behavior and highway manners. I wasnt getting to 7th or 8th gear much at all before the swap. Now i am in 8th as I would in a stock jeep.

Yes, the front driveshaft is a must. The angle is way too steep on the stock shaft on the transfer case side. Had i flexed it much at all before swapping the housing would have definitely bent, and it wouldnt take long to cause real fatigue on the cv joint. 1310 replacement is cheap insurance overall. I talked to clayton off road and my installer before biting the bullet. Clayton said its pretty much a must and they were right.

i wish i knew. I bought them with the jeep and havent taken them off to measure. If i had to guess i would guess +1 but then again, plenty of room and no rubbing anywhere. I really do wish I knew as i need a fifth for a spare.

With the wider axles and the wheel manufacturers not wanting to do a special run for JL's and JT's there is no telling but hopefully you can take one off and maybe there is a model code in the metal somewhere.
