Mojave with Rubicon bumpers

Just about done with the front bumper...can’t decide if I want to put the rear one on or not. Hmm.

Hmmm, thats a wrangler bumper, going to have to relocate the trailer wiring , relocate the plate, and then have the notch out for the spare tire you won’t have. Wait for a rubicon gladiator bumper to come up, should not be too long.

Front bumper was easy. The most time consuming part was swapping the red tow hooks for the orange. Basically had to tear down both bumpers.

Having a Rubi steel bumper and the skid plate they recommmend put on by the dealer before I pick it up. I'll post a pic asap when I get it. Probably mid November.

You can swap them yourself, unless dealer is doing it at no charge. It takes about 2 hours today, if swapping the tow hooks too.

Is the Mojave one different from the rubicon?

The Rubicon JL rear bumpers are different than the Gladiator rear bumpers. You definitely want to find a Rubicon Gladiator take off rear bumper for your swap.

Just did this same swap today. Have a rather large ‘gap’ between bumper and grill on top side, not sure how to fill it. Also, the Mojave skid plate brackets wouldn’t fit without trimming the bumper itself. How did you get around that?

Looking at the other pics, I think its not designed for the Mojave, he just decided it wasn't that bad and wanted a snorkel.
