Finally got the chance to install my VisionX reverse lights. Pretty straightforward. I added stickon reflectors before installing. Probably could have just used reflective tape like others have done, but this way the reflectors are DOT approved. In reality that probably doesn't matter.

When I first started installing the harness, it seemed like the section between the left and right lights was WAY too long. But turns out it was the exact perfect length to follow the original existing wiring harness. Wired it to my factory auxiliary switches, so I didn't need to use the included switch and relay harness. All the wiring seems solid, with strain reliefs and watertight connectors and everything protected in a loom.

Nice work! I am so glad I went with the Vision X after seeing the total nightmare the Oracle lights are. I added the red portion of DOT red/white 2” tape you see on tractor trailers so I think that is also DOT legal. Like you said, probably doesn’t matter.

A guy in my keep club did this but he also cut the top for access panels to store stuff under it.

so far so good. Havent really tested it to its paces, but also don’t have much more than cell phones and radios.
While the hood solar is limited to 30w, it has MC4 connectors so you can plug a 100w portable panel in and do your thing as well. It’s pricey per watt as far as solar goes, but does what it needs to
Thank You

Spent some more money ordering parts

Macs tracks cargo system
JCR Molle front bed panel
Redline hood struts

also may get around to my first oil change. Picked up a new filter at the local stealer shop yesterday. Only have 1250 miles on it but it’s almost been a year since I bought it.

That was my plan as well originally… we have a trip planned early next month so I’m gonna leave it as is for now, I have lockable pressure latches I ordered to do doors on each side gonna see how this trip goes and may add on after or maybe I’ll do it next weekend, wasn’t sure how much reinforcement I would need to do for the girls if I do the doors either

She got some new shoes! Sold the Rubicon take offs and got some Yokohama Geolandar X-ATs! Kept the Overland wheels, I like the look. Tires are 33-12.5-18. They give the perfect stance without wheel spacers or offset wheels.

How are those 5:38s working out? … I’m on the fence with 5:13’s or 5:38’s since i live in AZ
They drive fine, I like that I get to 8th gear pretty quickly and going up through the gears is smooth and effortless. With these fairly short 37s, I am running 2,500rpm at 72mph. If I didn't tow a fairly heavy camp trailer (4,800+ lbs) I'd go with the 5.13s for sure. If I was doing 38s or bigger I would do the 5.38s again in a heart beat.
